I don't believe you want any response, but nonetheless:

[Jim Robinson:] Now is not the time to raise doubts about our government or our military, and now is not the time to post conspiracy theory or to engage in smear attacks.

It is always the time to raise such doubts, or to post theories that challenge the accepted wisdom, especially on culpability for an event such as this. Doing less than this is to give a blank check to political leaders. It also abdicates what citizens in a free republic, or one that has the intention to remain free, should be doing.

Nonetheless, this forum, Mr. Robinson, is your private property. If you see any such doubts as being inappropriate and unwanted on your servers, you are perfectly entitled to exclude them. By the same token, those of us who don't see war machinations (by anyone) as suspending human doubt about what the leaders are doing should not go against your standards, even in spirit.

I won't be leaving FreeRepublic -- it's too valuable to cast aside, especially with its concentrated information. But until you see doubt, and discussion of aims and methods, to be appropriate topics, I will no longer be posting.

Yeah, I agree....can we pass this along to the media??? I have heard reports from the media which make my blood boil. I will not be posting them here, because I was not asked to do so. To the media: you're reporters first, patriots last. You need to change this for the sake of our military men and women.

The media is absoutely disgusting including Fox. They report anything they can get their hands on -- not satisfied with what the Information Officers are telling them they keep going after younger people to try and find out what is happening. And the dumb questions they asked the Admiral and Captain of the Teddy Roosevelt and the carrier group was making my blood really boil. They did an excellent job of deflecting questions.

When they report what the Information offices are releasing, I don't mind, but when they try to get sneaky to get the information and report, I get angry! It is not their "NEED TO KNOW" and I certainly don't have a "NEED TO KNOW!"

Mama_Bear,I understand how you feel. While my husband is no longer in the Navy (2 tours, Viet Nam as a Naval Aviator), I feel very protective of ALL our armed forces. I wish the media would stop assuming that it is their right to know every troop movement.
