Eagle
Lets Roll Graphic ^
Posted on 09/18/2001 9:49:21 PM PDT by Nagilum
Someone suggested that we develop a "Lets Roll" graphic because those were the last works of those who saved the last plane. I had some trouble posting this earlier, so can someone let me know if you can see this?

And the EAgle is facing the right way too -- to the right, of course! While I aesthetically like that version, it has been pointed out elsewhere that when a flag is displayed on a travelling object (e.g. an airplane) the blue field is to be toward the front of that object. Unless eagles fly opposite the direction their beak points, it would seem that the flag in both pictures is 'wrong' (though aesthetically I'd say it's right on the right-facing eagle).

Some kind lady actually produced a slideshow using images from the attacks and combining them with the verses. If anybody would like to see it she gave me a copy and said give it out freely. FReepmail me and I'll send you a copy.

This is my contribution for a poster for a car window or office wall as a decleration of your support.

It would appear the eagle is perched, wind at his back.

Actually, I think it might be even better to do as you say. Leave the flag as it is, point the eagle to the left. That way, the flag will have the impression of flying, which is probably the point of your flag etiquette point. And, also, we could simply say that the eagle is COMING from the right direction!

That is awesome! You did a wonderful job. I was just thinking today that we needed good lyrics for this. You must have read my mind!
You should get the words copywrited.

Can't copyright what ain't mine. Like someone else suggested, if I can ever sit down with the fella/sister that wrote that, they won't have to buy the beer!

Awesome picture! Portrays the spirit America is feeling now.
