If there are (for example) 5,400 deaths as a result of this, then build them with 5,400 occupants (offices) and name each one after a victim as a memorial.
Just a thought.
I think there are just over 22,000 companies in the WTC complex.
Any leftover land, make a memorial park for children and families.

Not bad. I could see the money people going for that.

My dear brother and sister FReepers,
At this, of all times in my lifetime, I would like nothing more than to be able to read these threads and reply to them. I have much I would like to say.
BUT, I cannot!
Why?
Because I am trying hard to raise the finances needed to keep FreeRepublic up and running so that we can continue to share valuable information and respond to it.
I beg you, if you have not yet donated to FreeRepublic this quarter, do so now!
"And if you have donated, God Bless You, please ping your friends, and FReep on..."
I realize you are giving to lots of Relief efforts and I encourage you to do so. But we need to help FR too. Where would we be right now without it?
If you have no money, please come and bump the Fundraiser Thread.
I would really like to reach our goal quickly so that I and the rest of the dedicated FReepers who are working the Fundraiser Threads can participate in what is undeniably the most important time in FreeRepublic's history.

It would be a little creepy to work in one of those offices...
How about the total of all buildings that are rebuilt total 5400 feet (or whatever amount)? It would be quite symbolic.

You got that right, but the guy that needs to see it will be in Hades.

I'm thinking of of something along the lines of a multi-storied building in the shape of a large clenched hand with the middle finger fully extended. A large neon sign would cover the lower floors which reads "Hey Osama!".

There is plenty of brush and unused ground out west of the Hudson. Build a rambling ten story complex and eliminate those dangerous high rises. These towers and the unending conquest to build one higher than the last is not too sensible. Umpteen thousand dollars per square foot is unreasonable with all the unused area around New York that is abandoned.

Build it back---Exactly as it was, in 12 months or less. No damn park.
To: oldvike
EXACTLY THAT!!!! Just add the sign and it would be perfect. LOL!!

With the "Osama bin Hillary Memorial Park"
Kind of a combination of the two friends.

If they rebuild twin towers, how about atleast 2 walkways across like the 40th floor and the 70th floor (it really shouldn't be any higher than 80 floors in my opinion) and have memorial tiles across each walkway with each person's name inscriptioned on each tile that was murdered in the attack?

Why not have each American contribute one brick. 300,000,000 bricks would build a very nice building.
