"Black"
(To be sung to Pearl Jam's "Black")

Ah-aiiggghhh...yeh...yeah!!

Sleepy shady campsite...lovely FReepin' day...
Tanned legs spread out before me...sun-drenched body shined wet.
Lo...beauty from the Heavens...I revolve around her Sun. [MUD's Earth to Jewel's Sun]
Her warm scent I gasped, then I breathed...girl's makin' me burn!!

Ooooohh...o'er and o'er, I told the girl..."Kids can dream!!"
O'er and o'er, Jewel begged of MUD, "Love me, boy."
But MUD's gotta better half...with whom MUD lays down...
GOODBYE...my FRagile flame...girl, Lib'ralism's DEAD!!

Nation, washed with blood...LIES the Leftist's shame...
I'll take the watch tonite...Left's surrounded by TYRANTS and HATE!!
I just hear Slick's laughter...Bill lies to hisself.
Ohhhh...all Left's twisted thoughts I sing...SlixMYbitch!!
I'm spinnin'...ohhhh, MUD's grinnin'...=^D
God Bless my bitten land...must kick Righteous A$$...
Fer what Left did to me!!

Ohhh...Left's B!+(# is bad...Medyuh watched and fled...
SLAUGHTERED everything...
Ohhh...the Left's ALL BAD...turned MUD's world to black...
Spitooned on all I see...all that I am...all I'll BE-EE-EE-EE...yeah!!

Un hunh...un hunh...woo...

I know someday, Jewel'll make a beautiful wife...
I know she'll be MY star...
But somebody else's gotta show the spine!! It's TIME!! SHINE!! Justice be thine...

How can it be?! It can't be...it shan't be!!

Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...
Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...
Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...
Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...
Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...

Little Boy Boogie

Great little poem! (For non-history-buffs, "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" were the names given to the atomic bombs we dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki)

Whoah..powerful. Thanks for sharing. I'll even thank Pearl Jam for being an inspiration to you.

Never heard their music. I'm turning into my parents, "What's that music you kids are listening to these days?" LOL!

De nada, mi amiga...

"I'll even thank Pearl Jam for being an inspiration to you. Never heard their music."

Me, neither, leastways not until last Sunday evening...I went up to DeeCee planning on FReepin' Buffett's "A Pirate Looks at Forty" as the "Spine Song" fer this thread, and my Sound Engineer--aka "Vesuvius"--just slipped Pearl Jam's CD in my pickup before I hit the road to Crystal City. Well, me and the guy riding with me listened to Buffett fer the whole ride and I was sick of the song--temporarily--and put the Pearl Jam in for a break. Coupla hours later, I've got me a new song...LOL!!

"I'm turning into my parents, "What's that music you kids are listening to these days?" LOL!"

LOL...aren't we all?! Still, the closer you look at a lot of these newer bands--hey, I'm an ol' fart, too, and only listen to AM Talk Radio or Classic Rock stations when a CD's not playing--you recognize a libertarian streak that accentuates Positivity, Self-Empowerment, and Self-Determinism. I'm really quite optomistic about some of these folks' potential...another good one is "Incubus" and their new hit, "Drive" and a lot of Jewel's stuff. I'm about to FReep "Life Uncommon" sometime soon, after the NFL's done entertaining me, of course. My fantasy football team lost the weekend before last, and I've got to get us back to .500!!

FReegards...MUD

BTW...I don't know if yer familiar with "PokerFace", but this is a band which I will accentuate heavily on this thread...Paul Topete's the lead singer and main writer, and sings extremely well. And if I didn't know better, I'd almost swear he was takin' words directly from my Mind...kinda scarey, actually, LOL!!

Hey Ol' Man, I appreciate your ongoing assistance in alerting me to older songs worthy of FReepin'; however, to really make a splash in this Counter-CounterCulture War, we need to be able to incorporate quality FReeps of more modern music as well. Here's the original words from a band I just became aware of recently. Please note the libertarian, self-empowering ideas expressed...and the song rocks as well.

"Drive"
(by Incubus)

Sometimes, I feel the fear of
Uncertainty stinging clear
And I can't help but ask myself how much
I'll let the fear take the wheel and steer

It's driven me before, and it seems to have a faint
Haunting mass appeal
But lately I am beginning to find that I
Should be the one behind the wheel

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes, yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
I'll be there...

So if I decide to waiver my
Chance to be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine
And hold my own and drive?

It's driven me before, and it seems to be the way
That everyone else gets around
But lately I'm beginning to find that
When I drive myself my light is found

Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes, yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
I'll be there...

Wouldn't you choose the water over wine?
Hold the wheel and drive

Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes, yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
I'll be there...

Doo doo doo, doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo...

Excellent song, mi amigo!!

And a very nice evening to you as well, mi amigo...

"House of the Vile Clinton"
(To be sung to Bob Dylan's acoustic version of "House of the Risin' Sun")

In our White House down in ol' DeeCee...
There lived the Vile Clinton!!
And he's been the Hero of many Lib'rals...
But Slick's a bag o' scum!!

Bill Clinton is a TRAITOR...
He sold our nukes fer cheap!!
Our FReedoms are endangered, folks...
'Cuz good Sheeple sleep!!

Now, good folks, the thing Slick Willie needs...
Is fer his TREASON to be judged!!
'Cuz the only way We'll Stop His Kind...
Is when we String them up!!

Slick killed them lasses down in Texas...
He torched that Waco Compound!!
Folks, the only pleasure Bill gets outta life...
Is when he's Abusin' his Power!!

I tell ya, Nation, listen...
We gotta do what must be done!!
Must show the Powers in ol' DeeCee...
That Justice is fer everyone!!

Folks, it's time to take on that Whore!!
Yes, we must remove his stain!!
We're marchin' back to ol' DeeCee...
Let's put Clinton in chains!!

We're a'marchin' back to ol' DeeCee...
Slick's place is in Prison!!
We're goin' back to force Congress...
To Re-Impeach Clinton!!

It's our White House in ol' DeeCee...
We shan't condone TREASON!!
Must sing this tune of Justice, dear Lord...
Yes, we'll DETHRONE CLINTON!!!!

"This week, the WTimes caught the WPost in a nasty bit of propaganda ---

.... "Senators Barbara Boxer, Tom Harkin and Ted Kennedy are centrists? By the reasoning of The Washington Post they must be," the Media Research Center's Brent Baker writes at mrc.org .

"In a profile last week of Democratic Senator John Edwards of North Carolina, who is running for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination, Washington Post reporter Richard Leiby referred to 'his centrism.' But Edwards earns about the same vote ratings as Boxer, Harkin and Kennedy," Mr. Baker said.

"In 2000, he earned an 85 percent rating from the liberal Americans for Democratic Action. That year Boxer [California Democrat] got the same rating and Kennedy [Massachusetts Democrat] earned 90 percent approval. In 1999, Edwards matched Kennedy with a 90 percent rating for the freshman senator's rookie year.

"The American Conservative Union assessed Edwards at 12 percent in 2000 and 8 percent in 1999 for a 10 percent career average. Compare that to a nearly identical career 9 percent for Sen. Tom Harkin of Iowa, a well-established liberal. On the conservative side, Sen. Conrad Burns of Montana, at 89 percent lifetime, and Senator Bob Smith of New Hampshire, at 92 percent over his career, are about as conservative as Edwards is liberal...
