We have already rec'd responses. One was from a Marine Mom, whose son is the only parent of a 3 year old little boy. She is going to care for her grandson until Daddy returns. This e-mail is already touching many lives. They know we care, that we understand the endeavor they about to encounter. Lets get this out folks. I hope I can depend on the best forum in the United States to start our campaign. This e-mail is circulating, but not quick enough. Thats why we come to the most active community on the net, and one we have called home for many years.

Your help in this endeavor will be greatly appreciated. BE all that "we" can be,.. for those who ARE ALL that we could hope they would be!! They make us all proud!!

Your response (which is in "") to my private email to you saying that I think it is unwise to make the departure of troops a public display under these uncertain climate.

"Both of us are Military."

My answer: I have a military kid.

"We have supported our troops, and my husband has even sent them off to war from his Battalion."

My answer: Would you send your own kids off to war in a manner that might compromise their safety?

"We refuse to live in a paranoid shell."

My answer: Was "Loose lips sink ships" paranoid?

"Our President has asked in many ways to NOT allow exactly what you propose to happen."

My answer: The President has secret service to protect him wherever he goes. Do you think he will stop using them?

My answer: Is making troops ducks in a barrel for their sake? Prudence and fear are two different things. Do you have locks on your doors?

My answer: So will we, privately. My son doesn't need outside cheerleaders to maintain high standards of discipline and performance so do me a favor and don't blab when and where he is leaving from.
