Convert them? What ever happened to freedom of religion? Not all muslims are bad. Many of them in our armed forces, during the gulf war, were used as translators and were loyal to our country. Since they were muslims why didn't they get kicked out of our army. The once dancing in the streets should be taught a lesson. If these people are so bad why would we want them as christians?

Sorry, Flame me if you want, but nobody should be forced to change their religion.

This is an 80 - 1 ratio. If we have 20,000 dead then a similar response as to Pearl Harbor would be 1.6 MILLION.

I suppose Freepers have long ago noticed how conservative ladies like Ann and (the late) Barbara are among the most polished, quick-witted, and intelligent around. I'm proud of them. When I see Ann on FoxNews, my pupils dilate, whereas when I spot one of those creepy female ACLU attorneys, they ratchet down to about F:32 before I can either look away or grab the remote.

She's right about that, and those celebrating now have raised their own profiles to match those we need to "recognize."

But you know, these same phrases will be turned on us, as they pump each other up to firm up their resolve against us. They'll say, "US citizens called for our deaths and cheered when bombs sent our fathers, mothers and children to agonizing, fiery deaths."

We will need to remove those who cry out for our destruction. We will probably need to replace their governments and will expose them to our religions. "Death, Death, USA!" cannot be allowed to be chanted and condoned by governments. They've implicitly begged us to remove them, and we must now carry through. It will be as with the Germans and Japanese. Twenty-five years later they will have a chance to take their place with the rest of the world's nations.

But we don't cry out for the deaths of innocents just bdcause they believe a certain way or laugh at certain jokes. When we do that, we feed the ignorant frenzy which has long demonized conservatives and caused Clinton's serfs to reflexively hate us from the word "go."

Let's be clear: Those now laughing, dancing, and smirking have shown themselves complicit in giving aid and comfort to enemies which have killed tens of thousands of Americans in four fell sets of killings. Our civil society cannot co-exist with "maniacal, murderous cults" who've demanded our destruction for decades. That's the reason.

I love Barbara Olson and I love Ann. In this column Ann expresses concisely how we all feeling about the lost of Barbara. This is a great evil that has come upon our land?but it is also possible to bring greater evil into the world if caution and patience is not exercised in redressing this diabolical threat. There is no doubt that we are at war, but we don?t have to wage the war that bin Laden wants. He wants a crusade against him?and he may get it?but I would argue for some initial responses which would actually be more harmful to him and his cause. Ann-if you scan FR today or tomorrow to review comments regarding your article on Barbara, please know that I understand you sentiments, actually your convictions, 100%. I loved her too-I had just watched her on CSPAN the day before and had tried like a madwoman to get on....just to tell her how much she meant to so many of us and to tell her that I would be first in line to buy her upcoming book, The Final Days.

Thank you for this article Ann, and Thank You for your strong voice, your intellectual honesty and your drive to protect our precious constitution, our incredible rule of law.
