I believe you are misreading her sentence (which is admittedly slightly ambiguous).
She's not saying "we don't need to determine with scientific accuracy who did this, so screw the evidence", instead she is saying, "we can quickly determine with scientific accuracy who did this, because doing so doesn't require long investigations of forensic evidence."
In other words, we can be very sure very quickly after tracing the evidence, it won't take months and months of minute analysis.
