"
Last I hear both UOx42 and Algore are both overseas with no prayer of getting back anytime soon...."
A small silver lining, but I'll take it.

Carthago dalenda est. Carthage must be destroyed.....
To: Bitwhacker
When I heard that about Clinton and Gore, I laughed for the first time in 36 hours. Stuck overseas. Great!!

And my wife and in-laws are stranded in Appleton until further notice! The horror, the agony!
To: MozartLover
no prayer of getting backI'll pay good money to keep them where-ever they are. Who warned them?

Veritas.

But remember, if we're going to salt the ground afterwards, there shouldn't be any radiation around.
Simple problems call for simple solutions. Load some of the weapons with Strontium 90 and you don't need to send in the Marines to paint stripes, because nobody will be parking cars there for the next 100 years.

Imagine, UOx42 lamenting the fact that he didn't have a major military crisis to prove just how good he is at being president, then when one comes along he's 10,000 miles away!! At least that part worked out. Now if only we can get 97 to shut her pie hole...(You'd think Schumer, who is very savvy, would give her an elbow in the ribs once in a while).

So, can my M-I-L join your M-I-L?
/john
To: Molly Pitcher
Matthews, Russert, Jennings, Williams and Mitchell have been particularly egregious in their complaints about our PRESIDENT.
GWB needs to call a joint session of Congress and say in blunt terms, without notes, exactly what the threats were to him yesterday and why he didn't come back to DC. He needs to specifically address his complaints that the media was improperly speculating that he was either too stupid, too cowardly or too weak to return to the White House. If WE could figure out his life was in danger and they were trying to insure his safety, the PRESS should have figured it out, too. So, we can correctly assume they were trying to make a political point. How despicable!

Your M-I-L can join my M-I-L if your M-I-L is in or near M-I-L-W-A-U-K-E-E (sorry - I couldn't resist!).
Actually, it's my m-i-l, f-i-l, and She Who MUST Be Obeyed.

It already is - no football...
To: Molly Pitcher
Good night, Molly! I didn't even know FR was down; how long?
Guess I was pretty busy today.........

Football and Baseball are not quite as important, but every 50 years or so, America wakes up and plays a really good game of kick @$$. I know the rules to that game. Put me in, coach. 326x3B USAF

I'm off to bed, too. Y'know, it's bad when you can feel your pulse and your blood pressure rise -- the last 2 days have been a real ordeal...'Night all
