Drudge got this story too? You mean he does something other than track Hollywood stars and ignore Condit?
Matt get a date, finally?
Who might be the lucky bridegroom?

To: But it never rains in Southern California
So, were a million Democrats jumping up and down in a Florida temper-tantrum, umm, scientific experiment?
To: MeeknMing
The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 and was centered about one mile southeast of West Hollywood,.. Just a shot over the bow.

I am right here in the epicenter. One hard jolt and then a long rolling motion for about 25 seconds. My automatic natural gas shutoff did not engage. No damage other than my wife's nerves. Well sleep with shoes and flash-lights close by.

Actually, LA is not such a bad place. It's very green, easy to grow things there all year long. Good supermarkets, fresh veggies, cheap wine prices. It certainly has it's bad points, killer traffic, bad air sometimes, but at least it's a little more politically diverse (but only slightly) than smug, condescending San Francisco.
I lived (have lived in both) there for a good while and in the 70's, LA was a lot of fun. Of course, it does house Babs, the Baldwins, Sarandon, Cher and other idiots.

Don't worry folks, us L.A. folks are fine. I felt it, and figured it was so minor it would barely get a mention. Must be a slow news day.

Re: "couldn't happen to a nicer city." So...don't even bother visiting here...EVER -- vacation elsewhere -- we have no room for you OR your attitude. No doubt everything is PERFECT wherever you are.

See you down in Arizona Bay. LOL! Was it George Strait that did the song Ocean-Front Property in Arizona? ;-)

I live in the northern San Fernando Valley and it was no big deal, a little jolt and it was all over.

I live in the northern San Fernando Valley and it was no big deal, a little jolt and it was all over. Glad to hear it!

yep, you can't beat the weather!
'I LOVE L.A.' oops, someone else said that!
i was born in SF and i moved out of CA 2 years ago. i refused to live under a socialist boot. we get earthquakes up here too, (WA). in feb. we had a 6.8 i believe. it shook my place for 45 seconds & scared me more than any i'd been through down there, including the 'loma prieta'.
To: Califreeper
nope, it's not perfect here either, but i'll take the trees over the freeways any day! you should leave like the rams and myself did! did hollyweird slip into the ocean yet?

So...don't even bother visiting here...EVER -- vacation elsewhere Vacation? In LA? Never would have crossed my mind.
To: Ragin1

I think that this is a delayed effect from all the British schoolchildren jumping up and down the other day.
To: MeeknMing
Not to Worry. It was just Rosie O'Donnell falling out of bed.
