Sounding like a candidate for political office, former Attorney General Janet Reno encouraged some 900 female lawyers Wednesday to use the law and the courts to better the lot of women and children.

"We can make a difference," Reno, who is running for governor of Florida, told the California Women Lawyers dinner Wednesday night at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel & Towers.

It's a little frightening isn't it women lawyers fawning over a woman (?) lawyer who broke the Rule of Law countless times to cover up for her bosses. A corrupt Justice Department led by a corrupt lawyer.

This puts the U.S. legal system in a very bad light and shows you what the law schools are not teaching…ethics; they are heavy into women's rights. A hot bed of feminine activists, few who become good legal minds. They are just fuel for the likes of HRC and the NOW gang.

she didn't believe her decision to return Cuban shipwreck survivor Elian Gonzalez to his father last year would be held against her by voters

It was not her decision. She was not allowed to make decisions. Bill and Hillary told her what to do and she obeyed orders.

Reno may make a good candidate, obviously she is not going to let things like reality and the truth become impediments to her campaign.

"Most of the people in Florida, I think, support the position I took on the case of Elian," she said."

Define 'Most people' janet. The same ones who couldn't figure out how to vote?

It was not her decision. She was not allowed to make decisions. Bill and Hillary told her what to do and she obeyed orders.

It was her decision to follow orders; even she would concede that point. This woman represents the banality of evil in politics.

Don't believe it, do a word search on former cop Grant Snowden whose life was ruined on phony charges Reno brought against him. She has paid no price for her mistake.

Janet Reno's chances of winning are fat and slim.

She's in her mid-60s, she has Parkinson's, and she has a laundry list of Clintonian scandals attached to her. Besides, FL DemoRats are nervous at her running.

This is more of a publicity stunt rather than an actual gubernatorial campaign.

That strategy worked for Bill Clinton ,but I don't see it working for Janet "The Refridgerator" Reno.

By the way ,I really like your screen name ,Biblebelter.I go to Bible Belt Baptist Church in beautiful Mayo ,South Carolina.

Yours is the ultimate reply to her bid for governor of FL. How could anyone actually consider nominating such a monster?

And I live near Abilene, Texas, the "buckle of the bible belt", and used to belong to a homebrewing club called the Bible Belt Brewers (with a buckle for their logo).

My brother ,Danny Yelton, would love your club. However ,if you ever met him ,you would think he's a dead-ringer for Boris Yeltsin.

I don't think David K is a registered Floriduhhh voter, but if the JAVA feature of your browser is enabled, you'll see his head nodding up and down ever so slightly in obvious agreement with her decision to run.

Of course, it COULD just be the wind from her mouth -- which is believed to be one of the 7 gates of HELL.

“Ohh, that? It was a little something from the BATF. Those guys are such CUT-UPS! C’mon in -- got some little ones over my bed.”
