We're hearing reports of sky-high GOP turnout in states across the country. That's excellent news for Republicans and even better news for America: if we get out and vote, we can block the Democrats from taking power and trying to dismantle this nation to rebuild it as a socialist state.

Shhhh you will ruin the TDS freepers day, a lot pf pearl clutchers here won’t be able to live themselves if MAGA does well today.
I which states?
Will all pearl clutchers out there please identify yourselves.
My precinct in WNC was jumping with voters when I was there. Haven’t seen a general election with that much activity there.
Don’t know how FL or AZ operate such that they would know how many folks of what party have voted today...
This isn’t something the county would know where I live until polls close and ballots are returned to the county for tabulation etc. There is absolutely no way in real time they would know how many republicans vs democrats vs independents have voted so far today in person.
Exit polling could give you statistical numbers, to work from assuming folks were speaking to exit pollsters, but I really want to know how they are getting these numbers, because this is just not something the county could possibly know in real time in my state, at all.
Even tonight when they tabulate the results, it will take days or months of folks going through the poll books and making who voted and who voted in their computer systems. Newer scanning systems may be able to analyze the books faster, but it still is NOT something the county or state is going to know in real time.
If the tabulators are networked you could get real time vote totals but even then would not know the party breakdown...
Any actual poll workers in FL or AZ care to enlighten me?
Needs to be higher than that.
Sounds like good news, but I’m wary about getting my hopes up. I read an article last week about the Democrats having a bigger than usual edge in early voting numbers. The conclusion of course was that it was another harbinger of a huge blue wave. Things have become unpredictable in recent years, so I have no idea what will happen.
There are “Republican” districts and “Demoratic” districts.
It is not hard to keep track of the turnout in districts which are one or the other.
There are also exit polls.
Both methods do a pretty good job. Districts tend to be a bit more reliable.
My NE Huntsville AL location was busy with only a small initial wait. Basically in and out.
We just won Guam Governor. Keep it up
Let us pray as a Country this is true!!!!!!!
Actually, you have to have someone or something gathering that data... and that data ISN’T at the county level while the polls are open.
Poll watchers could be reporting numbers to something or somewhere, but it sure ain’t the county.
And Exit Polls are a LOUSY method... as was shown by 2016 and other elections where exit polls were abject garbage because certain folks weren’t talking to them, causing them to create garbage that the networks bought into that made them look like fools.
So, This article says its pulling data from systems I want to know what systems it pulling data from because, unless FL and AZ are doing their entire voting process electronically from sign in to vote count there is no way they know how many of each party have voted.
As I said in my original post, exit polls can give you some data to do some statistical modelling, its modeled data, not actual data.
The House will probably turn on whether there are any Republican Congresscritters left in California when they finish finding and counting votes next month.
All good points—and the quality of data varies widely by location and methodology used.
In addition we have no way of knowing how much after midnight shenanigans are going on in those urban Democrat precincts.
That said there are heavily Republican precincts and heavily Democrat precincts.
If the turnout is heavy or light at either kind of precinct that is a good general indicator.
“if MAGA does well today”
What is the threshold for that?
Florida exploded right out of the gate this morning an is posting R+21 in 7AM hour and as of 11AM is now R+28.
Remember the liars in the polling world had the Fla Gov as tied. Running Charlie Crist ll wasn’t a good move.
Looks very good for Paul Lepage to flip Maine CD 2 up double digets which bodes well for Collins.
From all indications, Steve Hilton has run a very good race for CA governor. He probably won’t win, but a strong performance by him may help pull a few House seats over the finish line (at least for tonight, but the vote counting in CA is being watched more closely than ever before.)
I just voted straight red in LA County, South Bay area. Heavy turnout.
Where there was no Republican on the ballot, I simply wrote in “Dan Sullivan”.
House was almost always a guaranteed loss
Dems only need to net gain what? 3 or 4 Seats? The odds of them not being able to pull that off were nearly nil.
If the Dems don’t take the house they are effectively done as a national party and like him or hate him, everyone would just have to accept DJT (love him or hat him) is one of, if not the greatest politician in American history.
The Senate, IMHO has NEVER been in play... just have never seen any math that gave them a path to a net 4 gain that wasn’t full of rainbows and unicorn farts.
We’ll know soon enough what actually is going to happen, but this election NC was almost certainly going to flip from the start... MI, Sayed never had a prayer, and same with Talarico.
AK has been the one state I’ve felt could flip because the social program changes in a state where 1/3 of the population is on assistance of some sort, absolutely could result in a protest vote and the stat voting against its historical norms.
ME, never thought it would flip, unless the whole issue of Collins voting for the Trump impeachment became and issue that kept MAGA voters from supporting her. It could be her time is finally up, but given who they ran against her, find it hard to believe this will be it for her.. .but we will see.
The rest I just find comical, with probably OH being a state that shouldn’t even be in play, but thanks to an abject TURD at the top of the ticket could surprise. SC is a similar situation in that a horrible candidate choice could wind up with a flip happening. Doubt it will happen, but could.
We’ll know soon enough, but if OH flips, Vivek absolutely will be a contributing reason... completely self inflicted wound.... and same with SC...
