Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 3.4 percent in the third quarter of 2026 (July, August, and September), according to the advance estimate released today by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). In the second quarter, real GDP increased 2.2 percent.
The contributors to the increase in real GDP in the third quarter were increases in investment, consumer spending, and government spending that were partly offset by a decrease in exports. Imports, which are a subtraction in the calculation of GDP, increased.

Acceleration.
This is great news for Americans now, and therefore bad news for the Democratic Socialist of America (D) party.
Lost my job of 38 years in 2024
Got a new job in 2025
2025 took me 23 minutes to get home and to work
2026 takes me 45 minutes to get to work and home every day
People are working again!
This also means interest rates are unlikely to drop any time soon.
I can get a decent 11mo CD for 4.5%, which is better than the savings account rate of 0.000000000001%
Yeah I’m sure the nets will run this story..on Wednesday.
I guarantee you the commie media wont be reporting on this today..basically what will happen is commies take power and everything Trump has done to improve things they will take credit for it and the media will nod their heads in agreement. Ask ANY Dem, “So how are you going to lower gas prices” and they have NO answer..other than kiss Iran’s ass they have no answer
AI and data center investments accounted for roughly 1.78 percentage points (or about 52%) of the U.S. economy’s 3.4% annualized GDP growth in the third quarter of 2026, according to economic data.
Yeah, but low IQ voters.......gas prices ðŸ˜

Why haven’t you retired?
I worked from when I was 11 until 63. I worked way too long. In hindsight I should have quit years ago when I still had health enough to enjoy retirement.
It just takes an IRA invested into an index fund with dividend re-investing + time. Four guys in my Army unit invested in the military’s Thrift Savings Plan in the early 90s. It defaults to bonds but you can switch to others like a stock index fund. They should all be millionaires by now.
I started an employer sponsored IRA in 2004. I’m comfortable now but my health isn’t. Best of luck.
Even in our rural area, traffic is now half-speed. U R right.
Are we supposed to be growing the government faster than the economy?
Is this the best a GOP President, House, and Senate can do?
Government outlays increased at a 5.3 percent annualized rate....

Where it is being spent and not being spent is what you need to keep your eyes on.
Meanwhile, the U.S. government is currently spending $1.2 trillion on interest payments to service national debt.
So we aren’t even keeping up with our debt obligations at this rate.
The good news here is that this gap between GDP growth and debt costs is narrower now than it has been in a long time.
Its the foreign state influence on our government that is the issue.
The growth is nothing to sneeze at but remind me please, what is that inflation rate.
Respectfully, and sincerely, disagree.
We cannot survive in the long run a situation where government spending grows 50% faster than the economy that must support it grows.
We've added over $2.5 trillion to the outstanding federal debt last fiscal year. The Big Budget Busting bill that the President demanded has increased the deficit from what we suffered last fiscal year ($2.1 trillion).
Best part is that growth is after the federal layoffs and removal of several million illegals. It means actual Americans are producing actual value.
I could retire but I’d have to move out of the area. I’m 59 and our daughter is moving back to the area with her child and all our kids are nearby and my parent are in their mid 80s so we have to stick around for a bit.. We live in PA and we could easily retire if we sold the house … believe me we want to move. $12,000 per year in property taxes is brutal. 5 years is our plan…maybe by 62
I’m not sure that matters, since I believe the GDP growth rate is adjusted for inflation.
