An immigration enforcement operation in Hillcrest on Monday morning resulted in an arrest and left some residents fearful about leaving their homes.
Video provided to News 12 appears to show Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Mirror Lake Road around 8 a.m.
Witnesses said the presence of federal agents in the neighborhood caused concern among those who live there.
Arly, a Spring Valley resident, said neighbors were frightened by what they witnessed.
“My neighbors are scared. They don't want to get out,” Arly said. Adding that parents were afraid to put their children on the bus because of the presence.
According to Arly, officers appeared to be focused on a truck. She talked about a man being taken into custody by authorities.
“Put their legs on his chest. Put him on the ground. Face on the concrete. Obviously my neighbors are going to be afraid. Obviously they're going to be scared,” Arly said.
Audio from an emergency scanner revealed that emergency medical services were also called to the area because someone had been tased.
News 12 is working to learn more about what occurred and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Why would people be worried about ICE arresting someone on their street?
I guess if you were subject to deportation it would be concerning. Everyone else is probably fine.
This country has never been more afraid. A gun was found in a parking lot and they lockdown or close everything.

Isn’t Rockland County the location where planes would fly in in the middle of the night to drop off illegals? I think it was during the 0bama era.

The NY mayor is releasing public service announcement telling illegal that ICE can’t touch them at the polling places. And telling they need bring nothing with them. Just speak their name. That is a straight up admission that illegals are voting in the elections, and that the democrats are encouraging it.

Like a high school principal telling the students in the auditorium: “There are dozens of police coming into the school hallways right now. They will be opening lockers and backpacks with a warrant looking for drugs and weapons. So there is no reason for anyone to worry. Only the guilty need be in fear.”

If you’re referring to the incident at a school in Manassas Park, VA, that’s turned into a real show. It looks like an art teacher didn’t like coming to work unarmed, but she was careless, and didn’t notice when her firearm fell out of her car, where she kept it. She’s now been put on leave and charged with having a gun on school property.

Ice can touch them just outside of polling stations. Just station ICE a block around certain places and make em scared to go to the polling stations.
