What passes as media is just ideology-driven propaganda, but that's stating the obvious. It's actually worse than that. There's an element of nefarious subterfuge involved that is almost 'Manchurian'.
Consuming the media as actual 'news' is a grave error. Yes, there are still journalists, news people, etc. who are trustworthy, but unless they are independent (e.g. Internet based, independent publications, etc.) they're at the mercy of those who own and/or run the media.
Journos used to report on what actually happened. It has now become a combination of gotcha doom and propaganda wish casting. With all the anonymous sourcing and “coulds, mights, possibles, predictions, expert expectations”, it is completely propaganda news making instead of news telling.
