Former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper is leading Republican Michael Whatley by 13 percentage points in the U.S. Senate race, according to the final Elon University Poll before Election Day.
Among likely voters surveyed Sept. 29 through Oct. 8, 52% said they support Cooper, compared with 39% for Whatley. Six percent were undecided, while 3% backed Libertarian Shannon Bray, Green Party candidate Michael Dublin or another candidate.
The poll surveyed 800 North Carolina adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.03 percentage points.
When undecided voters were asked to choose between the two leading candidates, Cooper's lead narrowed to 11 points, with 54% supporting Cooper and 43% supporting Whatley.

I’ll be voting for Whatley, but he only has a snowball’s chance.
Too many northeastern filth moved south.
I just don’t see how that can be in North Carolina. Must be too many university towns.
It was that way in late 80s.
If this is anywhere near the truth, that’s a GOP loss. I don’t see how the GOP retains the Senate, which I thought they had a better chance at than the House.
Cooper won the 2022 race by less than 5%. I don’t think he has greatly endeared himself to NC voters since then. He soft on crime stance may have lost him some previous voters.
These polls are published in order to depress turnout. Ignore them and go vote for Whatley if you live in NC.
It is hard to understand how voters in North Carolina could be so stupid.
They must want more ten percent inflation, millions more illegals, more economic destruction, more destruction of the country.
Meanwhile.....
“Cook Political Report shifts Minnesota Senate race toward GOP”
“The Cook Political Report has shifted its rating of the Minnesota Senate race toward the Republican candidate, marking one of the only instances of a major Senate race seemingly moving toward the GOP this cycle.
Cook moved the contest from “likely” to “lean” Democratic, as polls show Republican nominee Michelle Tafoya closing in on Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, D-Minn.”
HE’S A TERRIBLE CANIDATE
Trump won in NC all three times (2016, 2020 and 2024)

Final voter suppression polls.

I immediately discount any poll associated with academia. But, I do believe Cooper will win. He has won two statewide elections and has recognition.
There are enough voters who want what is yours, sadly.
I’m not a fan of Whatley, would rather of had Don Brown. I think the Prez endorsed Whatley based on the work he did with Lara Trump for the RNC. My opinion. I just voted straight Rep.
Have you seen Asheville or Cherokee?? There’s enough stupid in just those two places to carry dem water for a lifetime
Another mediocre candidate who got the GOP nomination because of Trump’s endorsement.
