A historic building in the French town of Limoges, about three hours south of Paris, has been "largely lost" after it was set on fire by rioters as demonstrations continue across France.
The Limoges Town Hall was built in 1883, and was made a historic landmark in 1975.

I have a beautiful Limoges lamp. I bought it at the Limoges outlet store in New Jersey, about 40 years ago. There was a very young girl running the store, I don’t think she spoke any English, beyond what was necessary to complete a purchase with an American customer. I bet she was from Limoges. She was no more than 20, I’m sure.

My grandfather, my name sake barely survived the Meuse-Argonne in 1918 fighting for the Frenchies.
He was over come and almost died from a poison gas attack, that horrible ‘’mustard gas’’ and suffered nightmares all his life from being ‘’over there’’.
My dad told me when France fell in 1940 my grandfather threw away his medals.
He said “My friends died for nothing!’’.
