Oil hits $110 per barrel for first time since May

An international oil benchmark hit $110 per barrel on Friday, as the industry faces persistent shocks from the U.S.-Iran and Russia-Ukraine wars.

The price of Brent crude oil, the international standard, hit $110 during Friday trading. That marked the first time it has reached that high since May 20, less than three months after the U.S. and Israel launched the Iran conflict.

The commodity was trading at roughly $109.75 as of late Friday afternoon.

Brent crude prices peaked in late April, when the benchmark topped $120 per barrel.
Oil prices shot up during the early months of the conflict with Iran and sank below $80 per barrel throughout much of June and July — as the U.S. and Iran were operating under a ceasefire both sides accused the other of violating.
But as the war, now approaching the eight-month mark, has persisted, oil prices have surpassed $100 yet again.

Trump now blames Ukraine for everything.
That’s the new Trump whipping boy.

Trump now states he has nothing to do with the oil/ gas mess.
Trumps sons are doing lots of inside trading with no
blind trust limitations.
Midterms are looking like the Titanic with the iceberg ahead.

When I worked in Nigeria and would ask the locals when a certain thing would be finished or happen the standard response was, “Any day from now sir.” What that meant is that they had absolutely no idea when the job would be finished or the event would happen.

In all fairness and to reflect reality Trump needs to adopt the phrase, “Any day from now.” about his “little excursion” and the pain it has caused and the futility of the action.

With regard to inflation and the price of fuel I expect him to go from “small potatoes” to “Here, have some cake.”

It would be a world wide good in the long term to replace the mullahs in Iran. In the short term—not so much.

Oil was $114 in June 2022. Who was President then? Yeah, yeah. I know. That is a trick question. Nobody really knows.

I don’t disagree one bit but what would it take? Are we willing to go that far? This current path certainly isn’t cutting it. There may be a “yet” to that but for now it isn’t and the 8 months we have been locked in the consequences of this “little excursion” are making it not fit that definition any longer.

President Trump made a mistake by going to war with Iran.

He realizes that by now. But we can't go back in time...

Maybe that will go as well as trying to topple the Communists in Cuba.

This is purely market manipulation by the globalists to drive up prices before the midterms. Not supply driven. The price is going to collapse in a few weeks into the high 60’s range.

Oil was $114 in June 2022.

And voters punished the Democrats for it.

But now Republicans are in charge. And so voters will punish Republicans.
