"You called Ukraine a disgrace for attacking Russia. You want Zelensky out. Have you forgotten that it's President Putin who started the war?" Guttierez asked.
"Well, you know, I know the details, okay?" Trump answered. "And at some point, I'll release the details. But I don't care anything except for one. I want that war ended."
"Twenty-five thousand soldiers on average a month are being killed. Last month, 32,000 soldiers," Trump said. "And I think the two leaders, I do, with both of them— I think they want that war ended, too. And I think it's going to end. That's all I care about. I want that war to end.
The Telegraph reported Friday that Elon Musk and Donald Trump decided to slow down Ukraine's access to Starlink, to give Russia an advantage in the war.
"The billionaire tech entrepreneur approached the US president with the proposal to introduce speed limits on the system, which hampered Ukraine's drone defences," the outlet reported Friday, citing "four sources familiar with the discussions."
"One of the sources said Mr Trump "agreed" with Mr Musk's suggestion, paving the way for the Pentagon to execute the slowdown on Starshield, the military-grade version of the satellite communications system," the report said.
At the same gaggle Friday, another reporter asked Trump if it was him or Musk who decided to "temporarily pause Starlink access for the Ukrainian military."
"Well, I don't know if it was anybody, because it wasn't me," Trump said. "And I don't think it was Elon. And from what I understand, it's the same as it's always been."

Here are the deets: Invading a sovereign nation is never ok.
Defend yourself all you want.
Invading is an act of aggression.
Putin is a piece of garbage.
Ukraine, I wish them well but they should get zero cash from America.
Simple.
“1 May 2021”
“Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones destroyed 114 Armenian tanks, i.e. more than three battalions, 43 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, 141 artillery installation and MLRS, as well as a bunch of other military equipment of the Armenian army, and this is only in 24 days. The military conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia lasted 44 days”
“Even loitering ammunition purchased from Israel hit fewer armored vehicles than Turkish drones.”
“It is possible that this infographic is actually part of an information war, which was supposed to show Armenia that Azerbaijan is armed with “the most reliable attack drone” capable of destroying a bunch of enemy weapons without losing a single UAV.”
Moscow Times [10/27/2021]
The neighboring separatist-held Luhansk People’s Republic accused Kiev of using the Bayraktar in violation of ceasefire agreements that ban the deployment of foreign drones on the front line.
The Kremlin said Wednesday that Turkey’s supply of drones to Ukraine risks destabilizing the eastern Ukraine conflict
The Ukrainian army has been locked in a long-running conflict with separatist fighters in Donetsk and Luhansk since 2014 after Moscow annexed the peninsula of Crimea from Kiev. The conflict has claimed more than 13,000 lives.
Ukraine and its Western allies accuse Russia of sending troops and arms to support the separatists, which Moscow denies.
Warsaw Institute [27 October 2021]
“The Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 combat drone has been deployed at Donbas by the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation for the first time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement. The drone targeted the positions of pro-Russian insurgents on October 26. The incident has been met with criticism from Moscow.”
“The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the unmanned aerial vehicle was used to attack a battery of howitzers that fired Ukrainian positions in Hranitne on the southern part of the line of contact. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and the other was wounded. Despite calls for a ceasefire from the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, “Russian-terrorist” forces did not stop the fire. The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces ordered the drone strike to “force the ceasefire.”
“The Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation said on October 26 that separatists made thirteen breaches to the ceasefire”

How a Dispute Over Groceries Led to Artillery Strikes in Ukraine
Deployed for the first time in combat by Ukraine and provided by a country that is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the drone hit a howitzer operated by the separatists. Things quickly escalated.
Across the border, Russia scrambled jets. The next day, Russian tanks mounted on rail cars rumbled toward the Ukrainian border.

BBC [26 November 2021]
they see the Kremlin sending a message that it’s ready to defend its “red lines” on Ukraine: above all, that it must not join Nato.
“I think for Putin it’s really important. He thinks the West has begun giving Ukraine’s elite hope about joining Nato,” political analyst Tatiana Stanovaya at R.Politik told the BBC.
“The training, the weapons and so on are like a red rag to a bull for Putin and he thinks if he doesn’t act today, then tomorrow there will be Nato bases in Ukraine. He needs to put a stop to that.”
Ukraine’s desire to join the security bloc is nothing new, nor is Russia’s insistence on vetoing that ambition in what it sees as its own “back yard”.
But Moscow has been rattled recently by the Ukrainian military using Turkish drones against Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine; the flight near Crimea of two nuclear-capable US bombers was an extra irritant.
“At a meeting between Putin and Biden, neither will give clear commitments but there may be some tacit understanding on how far the US is ready to go in increasing its military support to Ukraine,” Mr Kortunov argues. “That’s not impossible.”
“Whilst Putin has a flicker of hope that he can do a deal with Biden, he won’t take any rash steps. But if he thinks it’s all doomed, he could do the worst things we can imagine,” Tatiana Stanovaya warns.

Guardian [December 16, 2021]
“With tensions escalating along the border with Russia, Luke Harding visits troops in Ukraine’s Donbas region to gauge the mood ahead of a possible invasion. The war here has continued since 2014, when pro-Russian separatists seized Ukrainian cities.”
There’s a video I didn’t watch:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2021/dec/16/on-the-ukraine-frontline-only-the-dead-arent-afraid-video
Trump just reviewed with Newmax that Obama allowed Russia to annex “ the most valuable part of Ukraine, “ the Crimea, in 2014. Obama sent blankets as was argued in the impeachment, Trump sent stingers.
Sending two businessmen Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to negotiate with Putin was ridiculous.
Long-winded horseshit.
Ukraine is just the latest in a long series of invasions of Russia’s neighbors.
1992-1993 – Russia occupied Transnistria
1992-1993 – Russia provoked the Abkhazian war
1994-1996 – First Russian-Chechen war
1999-2009 – Second Russian-Chechen war
2008 – Russian-Georgian war
2014 - Annexation of Crimea and recognition of Donetsk and Luhansk as breakaway “People’s Republics”
Russia guaranteed Ukraine’s borders, until it felt a pressing need to protect Russians within those borders. (Sound familiar? That was Hitler’s excuse for absorbing Czechoslovakia and invading Poland. Protecting those poor, persecuted Germans.)
Ukraine was nowhere near receiving NATO membership, and were that unlikely possibility to become even vaguely plausible, Putin would have had months to mass troops and deliver an ultimatum (versus the cowardly Pearl Harbor-style or Barbarossa-style attack it perpetrated.)
REGARDLESS of the causation, President Trump said he’d end the war in the first day of his new term if not sooner.
It’s clear when examining the evidence that Ukraine started this war.
Ukraine is corrupt. Russia is evil. But Russia is the one who invaded. The war would end if Russia just went home.
I am under the impression that that Putin was responding encroachment and broken promises from NATO. When did that narrative change?
I don’t think either Ukraine or Russia are particularly interested in stopping this war.
“REGARDLESS of the causation, President Trump said he’d end the war in the first day of his new term if not sooner.”
Fair point. But most knew it was just another politician’s boast that would never happen.
Because history begins on a day of your choosing.
For one thing, we suck at it.
Please note: In WWII the USA didn't fight until the other guy declared war. On us, that is.
For one thing, we suck at it.
The British did a better job when they had their empire.
We should secure the seas. That's about it.
Ukraine could have entered the war when Biden was president, but England stuck their nose into it.
I meant ended.
I meant ended.
Deets: Hillary’s State Dept and the CIA staged a coup and installed a p*nis-piano playing euroweenie corrupt dictator to suck massive funds to create a forever war. The money-laundering capital of the world then funneled it back to Democrats and the bankrupt EU.
Putin took advantage of the fact that the deep state installed a moth-eaten sock puppet of a president, creating a massive weakness, and invaded a country inviting a CIA-led Nato provocation of setting up hostile powers on Russia’ doorstep and reigniting old battles over disputed territories.
One side took billions of American dollars and weapons then proceeded to spit in Trump’s eye and join hands with a desperate EU in order to create a new world order. Oh, did I mention that Ukraine harbors bioweapon labs and Azov nazi brigades in their military?
“Ukraine is corrupt. Russia is evil.”
Russia makes Ukraine look like a bastion of honesty. In the Transparency International ranking of government corruption, Ukraine rates a 113 (moderate) score in corruption, Russia rates a 157 (severe).
In Russia, you don’t anywhere without Vlad giving his blessing and taking a cut. Bucking heads with him gets you killed or in prison.
Bull****! That’s the only response warranted by your remark.
