I watched the launch. It was amazing. 0-60mph in .81 seconds. It has so much downforce it was literally upside-down while stopped. The three presenters (Elon and two other guys) were so awkward it was painful to watch. The nerds have officially taken over, and they are still nerdy.

OK, I’m willing to bet that isn’t anywhere near a bone stock Tesla production model that anyone with a few bucks can buy.
How many hundreds of thousands of dollars and how many thousands of hours of engineering (probably Space-X thrust engineers and top vehicle suspension engineers) had to go into that car to do that stunt?... And how many did they crash on a secret test track before they were confident enough to do in public?
Now make it look like an 87-88 Turbo Coupe and we’ll talk.
I was driving west today on PA 926 in my 5.0 ‘87 Thunderbird and gut a huge thumbs-up by a construction crew on the side of the road.
Why?
Because those cars are (1) rare and (2) DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS.
It’s not always about going fast (though mine has been upgraded to somewhere between Mustang GT and Mustang Cobra specs and has some T/C DNA in it in more than just looks).
