Members of the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band and Chorus perform to an audience of patients and medical professionals at the Aleris Rehab Station in Stockholm, Sweden. As part of this effort, the USAREUR-AF Band serves as a bridge to increase cultural ties and enrich the alliance between the U.S. and Sweden through music. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Howdy, luvie.
It could have been a good day but one phone call ruined it. I found out a dear friend died and it hit hard.
I hope yours was a LOT better.

Oh, goodness, I am SO sorry for your devastating loss. Had they been sick?
My day was much better than that! It was pretty warm, but still only in the 80s, so I’m chill with it.

Yes, he’d been ailing lately and I’d been worried about him for a while. It wasn’t a huge surprise today but it hurts.
80s aren’t bad, and you have lower humidity which helps. I saw 82 on my thermometer this afternoon again but the next two day will be a little warmer.
Looks like Saturday is going to be a wet, blustery day for us.

Well, the first picture is cool. I have an Army Bands challenge coin, no idea where or why I have it.
MCMAP wasn't a thing when I was on Parris Island, we had the same concepts, but it wasn't a program until later.

I’m sure he is going to be missed by all his friends and family. It’s always awful to lose a friend.
No, the low humidity helps a bunch, as did a nice breeze. The kitties seemed friskier for sure. I’m not so frisky. That not having a nap is really catching up with me now. *yawn*

Oooooo, had a breeze with it too. That really helps. We had a nice breeze Monday but not the last two days. Just a hint of one that barely moved a few leaves on trees.
The break in heat is so welcome by the kitties after a summer living in an inferno. The cool nights probably thrill them.
They say we can expect winds up to 30 mph Saturday with the rain from Isaias’ remnants when it comes through. NHC keeps moving the track so we’ll see how it goes. They moved it to the west a little between the 4:00 and 10:00 updates today.

I know the cool nights are thrilling me. I sleep soooo much better now.
I expect you’ll lose some leaves/branches from trees, but if you get some rain with it, that’s a very good thing.
