Russian President Vladimir Putin has ruled out a ceasefire on long-range strikes with Ukraine as Moscow steps up its campaign of aerial attacks on Kyiv.
“We are told: ‘Let them stop striking your refineries, and you will stop striking their ships.’ It is simply ridiculous,” Putin said on Thursday at the Valdai political forum in Moscow.
The remarks followed a meeting between United States President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in New York on September 22, when Zelenskyy said Kyiv was ready to cease strikes on Russian oil refineries and other energy facilities if Moscow also stopped its attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

Sounds like Ukraine should follow up with more drones tonight.
They did last night, in fact every night they launch 100’s. On some nights all get shot down. On some nights a handful out of 500 or even 1000 get through and hit an oil refinery or something and the results are sensational headlines in the Western Media
Meanwhile Russian long range drones pound Ukraine hourly (with bigger payloads by the way)
Then with new hybrid drone/ cruise missiles
Then the true cruise missiles and ballistics come
Not to mention the 250 daily glide bomb strikes within 50 km of the front line (or from the sea in Odesa)
As long as that 5’7” narcissist has more Russian citizens to send to fight and die he will continue.
I wish the killing would just stop.

Too many young men and women, dead. Innocents. Children. Suffering.
This is just another European war of attrition. Not our business. This is simply tribal conflict that Europe, the Middle East, and Asia have been doing for hundreds of years.
How about those new Russian drones that target electrical wires and transformers?

Imagine how that much money could be better spent by both nations. Infrastructure, oil, manufacturing, agriculture, schools, healthcare, trade.
No one is winning in this conflict.
We know that Putin’s invasion and getting himself pinned down in this massive quagmire, has sure benefitted American national security, we are so much better off in our international defense position than we and all of our global allies and NATO were in February of 2022.

What happened to the “special military operation” that was supposed to last a couple of weeks and take a sliver of the eastern part of Ukraine where most of the people are Russian?

The endless war. Death and destruction magnified ad infinitum. No end anywhere in sight, and no interest on either side in stopping the carnage.
I love how President Trump thought he could end it in one day, and now he’s completely lost his interest.

The power lines linking Ukraine with Europe was the next logical target. With the Ukrainian thermal power plants already gone, about all they have left are their nuclear plants...and UNLIKE THE NEOCONS, Russia won’t touch them (for obvious reasons)...but they’re still insufficient for keeping Ukraine powered.
