PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — Lindsay Clancy returned to court Tuesday for a hearing that could help decide whether she will face a second trial for killing her three young children.
It was Clancy’s first return to the courthouse since her initial trial ended Sept. 4 with a deadlocked jury. A judge declared a mistrial with the jury split 11 to 1 in favor of acquitting Clancy of murder charges.
Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, never disputed that she killed the children, but her attorney said she had a rare condition called postpartum psychosis and was delusional and not responsible for her actions.
Prosecutors acknowledged that Clancy, 36, had mental health problems that included months of treatment and a stay in a psychiatric hospital, but argued that she knew what she was doing when she strangled the children then tried to kill herself in 2023.

What is not being addressed: Demonic possession is not a pretty sight. She knew exactly what she was doing, but did it anyway as result. The lone jury member understood this. The rest silently deny its possibility, and many sought to make their decision a ‘landmark case’ to allow further unrestrained and unpunished demonic attacks on the family, children specifically. I can only imagine the attacks this guy came under in the jury room. He is an absolute bad ass hero in my book.

This cannot go to trial. It was too close and a hung jury gives the commie trash demonstrators the position they need: “She was not guilty. See. Told yah so.”

If so, this is deceptively worded as this would be the FIRST trial for killing her three young children.
This is what should have happened in the first place. The holdout juror is what kept this from happening.
As I understand it the central question was one of criminal responsibility and the hold out juror said she was criminally responsible, thus the retrial.
It's what defense attorneys do.

When you can excuse killing children in the womb as “not children, only a clump of cells” and it doesn’t take much to stop thinking of actual children after they are born.
