Vice president’s appeal to dissatisfied Republicans aims to mend fences and rally supporters against Democrats for the midterms—and beyond
The midterms are approaching and the vice president is Vance-splaining.
JD Vance is smoothing the harder edges of President Trump’s words, or expanding on them, as he reaches out to dissatisfied conservatives and urges them to stick with Republicans in the midterms.
Asked about Trump saying last week he was “proudly banning” CNN, Politico and MS NOW from the White House, Vance on Monday replied: “I take some issue with the premise, he’s not banning media outlets,” and said it was a reasonable step to withhold access for some outlets.
Earlier this month, shortly after Trump promised every American adult $5,000 if they keep Republicans in power—prompting accusations from Democrats that the president was trying to buy votes—Vance went on Fox News to explain. “What the president is just saying is…if you keep us in power and allow us to continue to do these things, then you’re going to share in some of the benefits,” he said.
As Americans’ concern with the Iran war grows and gas prices increase, Vance frequently appears on Fox News to defend the prolonged conflict that he initially said would be over quickly.
“Trump brings the clarity, and JD provides authentic reinforcement,” said John Ashbrook, Republican strategist and co-host of the Ruthless podcast. “It’s a political ham-and-egg routine that works very well together.”

Marco is running up a very impressive list of accomplishments while many people may wonder just what JD has actually done as VP. But it’s not always about the resume, JD’s gift is the ability to present the MAGA message in a way that has broader appeal than Trump has. Trump has been the blunt instrument needed to break through years of BS, and JD will retain the Trump base with his blue-collar roots while attracting those to whom Trump’s personality got in the way of the message.
One wonders: who is Natalie Andrews? And who is Philip Smega-mann? Just more WSJ progressive pukes? And why should I believe them or trust their propaganda?
One also wonders why you continually post thinly disguised TDS propaganda from now-dodgy (but formerly reliably conservative) “journalism” sites like WSJ?
If Republicans can’t see the danger we’re in if democrats takeover then they’re a lost cause anyway. Might just as well put a gun to their own heads if they’re thinking about supporting democrats.

These voted for Trump in 2024. But now the news is that rising prices and the iran war are pushing them to the Democrats. These voters need to be persuaded back

Vance will “blow out” every imaginary conservative you’re hoping runs.
His only competition is Rubio who won’t run & DeSantis who is down in Florida “playing around with alligators” after he got his “ass kicked” in 2024.(Haley won more delegates.)

Vance is a bit too groyper for my taste. Leaning towards Rubio at the moment. I could be persuaded otherwise if Desantis chooses to run.

Instant gratification is what people want. Unfortunately that is the case and folks are that self absorbed and don’t see the big picture.
Just looking at the insanity of the left and what’s going on should make normal people come out en masse but I watch interviews with folks on TV and they are totally clueless, ignorant and completely unaware of anything going on around them.
