WASHINGTON (AP) — House Democrats are preparing a vast oversight agenda, with investigations of President Donald Trump, his family and his administration if the party sweeps control of the chamber from Republicans in the November elections.
The undertaking is as robust as it is daunting, spanning several House committees. With majority power comes bigger budgets and staff, and the ability to investigate, subpoena and potentially course-correct what the Democrats say are widespread corruption and abuses of power. Impeachment of the Republican president and Cabinet officials is not off the table.
“There is a cost to the American people of the out-of-control corruption,” said Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York, who is in line to become House speaker if Democrats win control at the Capitol.
“If folks have been stealing from the American people, shortchanging the American people or screwing over the American people,” Jeffries said, “we are going to hold the crooks accountable.”
Congress has enormous ability to conduct oversight of the executive branch as part of its power as a coequal branch of government, and a road map for the Democratic-run investigations has already been set by the almost daily letters lawmakers send to the administration and in amicus court filings.
Democrats are asking about the money-making by Trump and his family, whose wealth has grown dramatically since he returned to the White House in January 2025. They are investigating the potential civil rights violations of Americans killed protesting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations and of detained immigrants being deported to faraway countries. They have fought the closing of the Kennedy Center, launched investigations into private funding of the America at 250 celebrations and tracked the shuttering of federal operations, including the U.S. Agency for International Development.

What this election is going to come down to is vote fraud
If President Trump has been effective in shutting down Democrat vote fraud the the Republicans will keep their hold on Congress
The reality is that Democrat policies are not popular and our country vis really not closely divided 50-50. A careful analysis of voting trends show that the democrats have built in a5-6 % margin of fraud into national elections
Whenever you see a very tight race with the Democrat winning by a handful of votes you are usually seeing fraud in action
This election cycle the Democrats are fielding candidate that are so far to the left that even moderate Democrats are not supporting them
I believe that Republicans will hold the House and Senate through the midterms. Including RINOs.
If they do not, we’ll be in a world of hurt. Dem/communists will impeach him monthly. The entire United States government will be held hostage to Federal Judges for years.
And gas prices will stay high to promote a new EV push.
Yeah. My sister in law just found out the new battery pack for her Prius will cost well over four thousand dollars. Close to five. All that savings in gas money over ten years.
Ten years and the Prius is exhausted.

“Lying in wait” is a severe aggravating factor because it legally proves extreme premeditation and deliberation.

A person can take legal action if someone is “lying in wait” or actively preparing to harm them, primarily by contacting law enforcement. Seeking a protective/restraining order is also a possibility.
Important to Preserve Evidence: text messages, voicemails, security camera footage, or eyewitness accounts that document the tracking, hiding, and “lying in wait.”
They tried to impeach Clinton. Only made him more popular. These congos won a small district. The President won the entire country.

The left has nothing to offer except hate so I would expect nothing else. Congressional investigations should be outright banned on both sides. They do nothing, expose what the biased committee members want and result in nothing ever being done.
Congress itself should be in session maybe 4 weeks a year and only to fully fund necessary government requirements and the military. Every other government institutions not specifically listed in the constitution should dissolved.
Lawyers should be banned from office along with any socialist, communist, Muslim and anything claiming they are not a biological male or female.
Democrats are believing their own propaganda. They have no platform and no strategy except….. oversight and impeachment? I cant wait to see the autopsy results of this year’s midterms. Those post election videos of leftist crying always make me laugh.
If only they loved their children more than they hated Trump. They’re willing / eager to destroy the country just to harass Trump. Insane.
And it’s self inflicted. If Trump had stuck to his promises and not gone galavanting around the Middle East, gas prices would still be low, inflation would be coming down and we could focus more on removing illegals. There would have been no problems with the midterms. But here we are.
