U.S. Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets from Okkodo High School, Guam, carry military equipment during the 3rd annual JROTC Fitness Challenge hosted at JFKHS Most of the fitness challenge were actual tests that are conducted during DoD physical fitness assessments, i.e. push-ups and sit-ups. The addition of the equipment trail run challenge was to educate the cadets on what working in/carrying military equipment would feel like in the field. It wasn’t pretty but it was deliciously cool. 78 when I woke up and it slowly started dropping. Nice breeze with it too. Felt a little chilly.

Did you ever step outside today to enjoy your cooler temps?

‘’Deliciously cool” sounds beautiful to me. Anything under 90 sounds beautiful after this summer. LOL!

I’ve been happy all day. No going out except to go to and from bible class, but I saw that the kitties were out of their hidey-holes more.

It was an unexpected surprise but a good one.

We’ll warm up to low 80s tomorrow and stay there several days. A couple of upper 80s next week, then back down again.

Got some nights in the 50s ahead. Not sure I’m ready for that.

Glad your temps are cooling down, ours are too, had to wear long pants at least until late afternoon.

Week is going well, one shopping stop today and been home lazing ever since.

Anything new with you and the furballs?

We’ve been waiting a long time for the heat to break. It felt chilly to me because my blood’s been as thin as water from the hot temps. Needs to thicken up before real cold weather moves in. LOL

Nothing new at the moment. Kittehs are all doing well, thank goodness, so things have been pretty calm. The weather’s going to be nice the next few days and I need to get some much-needed yard work done.

Exciting life. LOL

It had to have been a nice surprise.

It feels great outside right now. I just fed the kitties. They seem to have a spring in their step. The only thing missing is a nice breeze. Otherwise, I’d sit out for a while. Might anyway later.
