Donald Trump's visit to the UN General Assembly will not be televised by the major US broadcasters on Monday as they band together to boycott his ban on CNN and MS NOW.
Fox News, CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC, collectively known as the TV pool, are protesting the White House and have decided to not dispatch cameramen or reporters to cover the president on Monday.
This means that Trump's trip to New York for the United Nations General Assembly meeting on Monday will go unaired on the major networks.
Still, the conservative outlet Real America's Voice (RAV) will be on hand to stream the event from the UN while local TV operator Hearst will cover the president's White House events.
Fox News Washington Bureau Chief Bryan Boughton confirmed the decision to not send any TV news personnel to the UN in an email sent out on Monday morning.
'This is to advise that, effective today, the TV pool will not be covering events designated as pool coverage of the President,' Boughton writes.
'This follows the White House's position preventing CNN from fulfilling its assigned pool duties. There will be no replacement pool put in place.'
It is unclear when the major broadcasters will resume coverage of the president.
CNN was previously scheduled to serve as the TV pool crew on Monday, but that was before Trump banned that outlet, MS NOW and Politico from the White House.
However, the official daily guidance sent out by the White House on Sunday stated that there would be no TV pool on Monday, leaving CNN's rotation off the list.
Trump has also threatened to take action against the New York Times and the Washington Post.

If an operator of a PUBLIC broadcast license refuses to air the president as he conveys information critical to the PUBLIC then those licenses need to go to organizations that will.
The propaganda media only broadcasts what they think is a gotcha moment. They never mention any of Trump’s accomplishments for the American people. I met someone recently who watches one of the networks “nightly news” every night, and she had never heard about Fauci’s diaries.
It amounts to a tantrum like a little child holding its breath in order to get its way.

What if prosecutors in a free country got 98% of the time in a court room? Or one racial group in the US got 98% of tax money?
And how many people in the Politico 'newsroom' voted for Trump? Is the diversity there only of color, sexual kink, and offensive totalitarian organizations? Is there even one American there from a working class background or are they all prep school brats of silver spoon elites? A 'Hunter Biden' drug addicted... etc etc etc... propagandists?
This issue isn't about free speech - it's about fairness and elites and jerks in the press.
It was a happy day in my house when we cut the cable - and all the alphabet networks went with it.
Haven’t missed a one - not that we watched any of them, we didn’t, after figuring their news revolves around bashing and denigrating Trump.
Also glad not to see CNN blasted from TVs all over airports.

With each passing day, the audience for these networks gets incrementally smaller.
I stopped watching TV entirely back in the beginning of June, so I couldn’t care less what boycott they want to lodge.
In case any stragglers still thought Fox News was “right-wing” or even neutral, they’ve just been alerted.
All all-in to protect the narrative machine.
Great. Now people will have to watch trump elsewhere and may actually learn something.
