America’s immigration debate usually revolves around the same stuff. Things like how many people are flooding in. What happens to US wages? What does it mean for housing, schools, crime, the border, and the economy? But immigration doesn’t stop being an issue just because somebody got here and feels all cozy now.
Because immigrants build lives here, and many of them become citizens. And citizens vote, donate, organize, run companies, influence institutions, and help decide which policies the country follows next.
So if we’re going to have a serious chat about immigration, then the political beliefs immigrants bring into the country, and the political coalitions they eventually join, matter. A lot.
And that brings us to this very interesting data on Indian Americans… These numbers show us that Indians are very politically engaged, and as a general rule, they’re also very far left.
That’s why these two X posts are getting a lot of attention. The first post lines up Indian Americans with Hispanics and white Americans on some pretty major political and cultural issues, and the differences are worrisome.
On issue after issue, Indian Americans land way farther left than white Americans, and in many cases, the gap is enormous.
Just look at the numbers. Only 11 percent of Indian Americans in the chart said they were Republican or leaned Republican, compared with 45 percent of whites. On reducing immigration, it was 18 percent versus 47 percent.
The differences keep going. A whopping 94 percent of Indian Americans in the chart supported requiring a police permit to buy a gun, compared with 66 percent of whites. On abortion, 72 percent said it should be legal for any reason, compared with 50 percent of whites.

What we've gotten in the last 30 years are a lot of Tech H1bs. They are overwhelmingly Leftist. We should not want them because they're stealing jobs from Americans. Because they depress wages for Americans in industries that have a lot of H1bs and because they're Leftists who have no affinity nor support for the US Constitution and for traditional American values.
Its not that all Indians are Leftists. Its that the ones we've gotten in recent years are. Ship them back. Do not want for that reason.

One more reason for a solid and high wall between the church(s) and state in America. We should protect it.

Interestingly enough, Bernie Sanders was once very much against open immigration into this country. And it was for the reasons you mentioned above.
But I guess someone at the DNC read the old Bolshevik the riot act. So like the rest of the Democrats, Bernie has abandoned the American worker.

About 25% of native US citizens identify Republican. 25% Democrat. The overwhelming 50% identify Independent.
My own experience in IL and GA agrees with the number of Independents. Even many MAGA do not identify Republican and go out of their way to attack Republicans and a “big tent”.
As for Indians, I have known many casually...mostly IT workers... and talk politics with them and well as IT and other topics.
Most have a mixture of contradictory thoughts, which is typical of many Americans. Some Indians are Moslem. The ones I’ve worked with seem more inclined to dictatorial structures.
Some Indians are Hindu. Indian Hindus are not all the same. Probably their caste/class groups similarities. More than other Indians, they seem to hold contradictory ideas at the same time...favoring both business and government, both capitalism and socialism...both autocratic and republican and democratic society.
Some Indians are Sikh. They are the most “Republican” in their thinking.... especially on support of Israel. But Hindus also support Israel more than anti-Israel. Many Indian Muslims don’t want to get involved in that issue and take a pass in conversations... But push come to shove they are resigned to have to live with Jews just as they have to live with Hindus and Christians.

I have studied history and mass migration is never a net gain for the country they are migrating to.
Our first mass migration was in the 1840s. The justification was given on two fronts, that we should let the poor suffering refugees in and that it would be cheap labor. Heart and wallet, a perfect way to appeal.
That is how we got "Irish-Americans" the first group that actively labeled themselves something besides just Americans and have maintained that label.
Migration is not a bad thing if it is kept at about 1% of the current population and defused. When it is in waves that flood areas with five to ten percent it is never a positive for the country and often not a positive for the migrants either.
Does not matter where they come from we need to stop with the mass migration. It has not been a gain to any area since year dot.
