You should have paid more attention to Trump’s first term when he was cutting off and isolating Russia while training and arming Ukraine and raising cain to get the rest of NATO to take the Russian threat seriously by arming up and ending any dependence on Putin while also increasing our nuclear weapons and moving our troops forward from Germany into Poland. It was probably Trump’s help that enable Ukraine to survive the initial invasion.
You should have paid attention when NATO surrounded Ukraine and teased NATO membership and Victoria Nuland engineered the Maidan Revolution.
You don’t like to read the Trump-list of all his pro Ukraine and anti-Russia achievements… That makes me sad.
There is nothing good in appeasing the Iran-Russia-North Korea-China Alliance.

We are still trying to play the limited escalation game in the hope of FORCING the other side to end things under our terms or to leverage this conflict in other areas.
No win situations are created doing this.
These are literally lose-lose situations where the logic is, our side wins by losing less.
