When a local pastor condemned officials for naming a busy intersection after Hezbollah-supporter Osama Siblani in September 2025, Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud (above in 2024) called the pastor “an Islamophobe,” declaring: “I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here. And the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city because you are not somebody who believes in coexistence.”(Shutterstock) The chickens have come home to roost for Dearborn, Michigan, and its mayor, Abdullah Hammoud. A year and a few days after Hammoud berated a local pastor who complained about the mayor’s praise for a Hezbollah supporter, Margot Cleveland, a journalist and legal commentator who writes for The Federalist, filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court against Hammoud and the city he governs. The suit, filed by the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) on September 17, 2026, accuses the city and its leaders of violating the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits government institutions from showing preference for one religion over another.

Imagine a female Episcopalian minister suing CAIR for transgender discrimination… I can’t.

Since Islam rountinely does evil in the name of God and that is considered an unforgivable sin why has God tolerated it for over 14 centuries? My conclusion: to get people on the move. To give them an incentive to not be anywhere where Mozlems are . It worked for finding the New World . The exploration started as an effort to get around Islamic lands. Now it looks like it is going to be the incentive for moving off world as the Islamic cancer grows here

Some local signs and the ones for entering City Hall and all offices have Arabic lettering for titles and directions with smaller English words under them. Must be how Americans feel visiting foreign countries. But this is in Michigan.
One street section was renamed in a ceremony to honor the name of a Muslim.

They do not have Sharia Law, any more than we use Canon Law to conduct our legal affairs.
The whole point of separating church and state is to prevent exactly this kind of conflict between legal systems.
