If you needed another reminder why this year’s midterm elections are so important, Barack Hussein Obama II is back to make the case: Democrats intend to seize control over artificial intelligence and shape it to their advantage. The former president, who has refused to exit the political stage a decade after leaving office, wants his communist-curious comrades to scare voters about potential threats from AI in the final weeks of election season (Remember when we used to vote in person and tally all those votes in a single day?)
Obama is a blowhard, but he knows how to tap into voter fears for maximum political leverage.

I don’t really know what information to use in order to form an opinion about AI, whether it’s good or bad.
The fact that the left does not like it, in particular obama, tells me AI must be good.
Obama is a Marxist Communist. So, doing the bidding of CHIIINNA would correspond with that vision.
The article doesn’t live up to its headline. After the 6th Paragraph, obama is barely mentioned and nothing in the long article talks about what he’s done to STOKE AI either pro or con. The headline is telling you to be upset and that’s about it. “Black lives matter” and “defund the police” weren’t the mantra when obama was in office but that’s thrown in for good measure.

The whole AI debate comes down to 2 different topics.
1.) Datacenters - where they can be built, how many, how their construction and ongoing use can be regulated, etc....
2.) Technological Impact of AI - Will AI values and goals become misaligned with human values and goals? Can it go rogue? Can AI be used by threat actors to harm us? Will the impact of widespread AI use harm us as a society, as an economy and as individuals?
Nobody completely understands the threats of AI, the eventual harm, the way it will change society or the eventual benefits.
It used to be, that we could count on our leaders to AT LEAST have the correct principals and morals so that they could steer the ship through the chaotic waves. Maybe they didn’t do everything right. Maybe they couldn’t avoid all of the jagged rocks but they were TRYING to steer it in the right direction in the best interests of their constituents.
Our leaders now, have no principals. No morals. They are not interested in our well being in the slightest. Whatever gives them more power or wealth in the short term is the direction they want to steer the ship.
Republicans want more datacenters because they are serving their tech masters who will make money off the datacenters.
Democrats want to regulate the tech of AI because they are serving the same tech masters who want to stop competition. If you look who are the biggest scaremongers, they are the ones currently winning the AI battle. Now that they have made it to the top, they want to kill the competition through regulation. The Dems also want to regulate AI to control information and censor what people can hear.
We have been abandoned.
The guy is just the dancing monkey with the cup.
He does whatever the organ grinder tells him to.
He is only speaking about the US. He wants China and others to establish superiority. Making America weak and in decline. Same old, same old.
