Line’em Up! KC-135 Stratotankers assigned to the 92nd Air Refueling Wing and 141st Air Refueling Wing taxi into position before takeoff as part of Operation Centennial Contact at Fairchild Air force Base, Washington. The movement, which included stops at Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore and Glacier National Park, was part of Air Mobility Command’s celebration of 100 years air refueling operations and demonstrated the 92nd Air Refueling Wing’s global reach capabilities. Since its inception in 1923, Air refueling has become a crucial component of military and civilian aviation operations around the world by extending the range and endurance of aircraft and enabling them to complete missions that would otherwise be impossible or require multiple stops. As a result, this capability is essential for strategic and tactical operations, as well as humanitarian relief efforts in support of AMC, U.S. Transportation Command and Department of Defense priorities. So Precious! U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Grace Grimaldi, engineer equipment mechanic, Headquarters Battalion, Marine Air-Ground Task Force Training Command, poses with her son for Mother’s Day portraits at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California. Waiting For The Fish To Get A Clue!A child waits for a fish on the bank of a fishing pond during a Keiki Fishing Tournament at Ali’i Agricultural Farms, Wahiawa, Hawaii. The event, hosted by Friends of Hickam, allowed service members and their children to enjoy a day of recreation and fishing. (U.S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt. Margaret Blice)

Hey there, radu!
I just ate my supper and am feeling a bit draggy for the moment. I’ll get more energy when I feed the kitties in a few minutes.
How was your day. Were you able to mow some more....or do whatever was on the agenda today?

Are there airports at these three parks capable of handling KC-135s?

Maybe by a couple of degrees but the humidity was higher. It’s still sticky out there. I went out to gas up the car and go to the store a little after 7 this evening and it wasn’t comfortable.

Ack! Sticky ain’t a good thing. We’re pretty dry. Our “feel-like’’ temp is a couple of degrees cooler than the real one.
It wasn’t awful going to class and tonight when I went out to feed the kitties it felt really nice. After my shower...in a moment...I might go sit out for a bit. Hang the skeeters! LOL!

I don’t know what our heat index (I refuse to call it ‘feels-like’) was today but it was up there. The temp got up to 94 at least. They’re calling for 97 Fri. and Sat. so it’s going to be rough at the festival. *sigh*
I hope you’re already outside with the kitties, enjoying some fresh air.
Even if it was nice here, I’m not sure I’d brave going out. When I came home from the store, there was a skunk in the front yard. I don’t know if it’s wandered off or still hanging around but I’m not taking a chance!

I just came back in. Wasn’t out too long, but it sure was nice. It was more a neutral temp. Not a chill, but also not a hint of warmth in the breeze that blew. Me and th’ gurls [Grey and Dottie] were enjoying it together.
I feel bad that it’s going to be so miserable at the festival. I hope there is some shade that folks can get in to at least not having the sun beating down on them...and on you!
