DHS confirmed Lester Noe Perez-Amador was living in the US illegally and is urging his transfer to ICE for deportation
An illegal immigrant is behind bars after investigators say he kidnapped a 6-year-old girl from her home in the middle of the night and sexually assaulted her.
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed to Fox News Digital the agency lodged a detainer against Lester Noe Perez-Amador, 27, following his arrest.
The horrific incident happened in Washington Borough, New Jersey, officials said.
She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators say they "developed additional evidence supporting allegations that Perez-Amador sexually assaulted the child after kidnapping" her.
The agency did confirm he was arrested in a DUI case and taken into ICE custody to face deportation in March 2024. DHS said, "The Biden administration then released him back into the community despite being a criminal illegal alien with no right to remain in our country."
Cardone said in part, "Protecting our children is a responsibility we take very seriously, and our commitment does not end with an arrest. The Warren County Prosecutor’s Office will now proceed with this prosecution and continue our pursuit of justice."
DHS said, "We are urging Washington Township authorities to transfer Perez-Amador into ICE custody so we can do what Biden failed to do the first time — get this criminal illegal alien off of our streets and back to Guatemala where he belongs."

How does someone kidnap a child from her home in the middle of the night? I would never leave a child’s window open enough to crawl through. Story says he was known by the family and that he broke into the home. The family did not pay enough attention to their child. I’ll never forget, from years ago, A toddler got up in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve, opened the front door and went out on the stoop to see if she could see Santa coming. When she was out, the door closed and locked behind her and she froze to death. A few years ago in Tulsa, an 18 year old
mom left her very young baby in his baby swing and went to her room and shut the door. Grandma was also on the premises. The family dog, I believe it was a black lab, attacked the baby and killed her, actually eating part of her. Apparently the swinging motion excited him. Neither one of the women heard the screaming. The mom was asleep in her room with the door shut, and apparently grandma was asleep with her door shut. The mom was convicted of second degree manslaughter and given PDOBATION. She violated it with marijuana, but the judge didn’t give her any punishment. The ignorance and apathy of some parents are staggering.
