Trump pledged to raise $100M over and above what has been appropriated by congress to perform the renovations. Yes, if they are going to insult donors, eff em. just shut it down.

Quit worrying about naming things and stay busy fixing things. That’s what we elected you for.
Donors pledged another $200 million, too.
Combined with Trump’s $100 million, it’s more than 1/2 of the money for the renovation. The renovation cannot be accomplished without the private money.
Bylaws and terms of pledges require money to be returned without the name change.
This is not Trump being petty. They just don’t have enough money without the name change.
