🚨BREAKING: The Trump Administration has invoked the long-unenforced Immigration Act of 1882 to prohibit entry into the United States of “any convict, lunatic, idiot, or any person unable to take care of himself or herself without becoming a public charge.”
Ultimately, this will allow the Trump Administration to deny green cards to immigrants who are likely to use federal welfare, food stamps, or Medicaid, and to revoke the green cards of immigrants who are currently using these programs.
The new rule is set to take effect Friday, September 18.
As a result, 5.6 million immigrants are expected to lose access to those benefits, and American taxpayers are expected to save $13 billion per year.

It was enforced 20 years when my wife got her green card, I had to personally guarantee she would not be a public charge for 10 years.

Under “cruel and unusual punishment.” Imagine having Jessica Tarlov nagging in one ear, Joy Reid in the other and Elizabeth Warren and Rashida Tlaib yelling from the couch they want you to bring them more snacks and drinks.
One is enough.
We need a 25 year moratorium on ALL legal immigration in order to pause the harmful cultural effects that have taken place due to unfettered legal and illegal immigration. The 25 year pause also gives us time to deport all the illegal immigrants by tightening the screws. Then, when legal migration is phased back in (on a much smaller scale) the Hart-Cellar act of 1965 needs abolishing and re-impose the national quotas that were in place previously, allowing mainly immigrants from Europe.
