During an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” President Donald Trump defended his prediction that the Iran War will end after the 2026 midterm elections and responded to a question on why the war will end if Republicans lose the elections by saying that “a lot of people think if we lose, then I’ll be much more angry and I’ll just take care of business, that’s another way of doing it.”
Host Laura Ingraham said that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is “trying to wait out the midterms as well, isn’t he?”
Trump responded, “I think a lot of people are. So, Iran’s — as soon as they’re — by the way, the war will end right after the midterms.”
Ingraham then asked, “If Republicans win. But if Republicans lose in the midterms, why would the Iran War end?”
Trump answered, “Well, I think a lot of people think if we lose, then I’ll be much more angry and I’ll just take care of business, that’s another way of doing it. Either way, they lose.”

One of the two times I reacted with a yuge “NO.”
1) As I turned on the TV to see how the massive attack promised against Iran was going to begin at 8:00pm Eastern Time April 8, 2026:
Jesse Watters: “We have a ceasefire.” (His eyes glistening, looking excited.) No bombardments.
2) This time with Trump calmly saying maybe the war will end after the midterms. Meaning in some of our opinions, after we LOSE America to the socialists and Dems and Trump’s agenda is slowed to a stop by ongoing impeachments. A fizzled out and inconclusive war after billions spent and lives lost will make the Dems’ criticisms look good to voters.
NO.
I’m afraid I’ve given Trump too much credit for intellectual integrity.
At least, some of the morons in D.C. know that we’re smarter than they!

He’s capitulating or surrendering depending on one’s viewpoint. The only question is who will meet Iran’s surrender terms?
