What began as frustration over a repeatedly dropping internet connection while watching reels turned into a tragic incident in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district, where a woman allegedly consumed pesticide and later died during treatment.
The woman, identified as Manglo Bai, was reportedly having lunch while watching reels on her mobile phone when the internet connection repeatedly stopped working. Angered by the disruptions, she allegedly smashed her phone on the ground before entering her room and locking the door.
According to reports, Manglo Bai then consumed pesticide. After some time, her condition deteriorated and she came out of the room vomiting. Her family members noticed the smell of pesticide and tried to find out what had happened, but she was unable to speak.

Manglo Bai’s husband, Premlal Sarathi, said the family immediately called emergency services after discovering the incident. While waiting for medical assistance, he reportedly gave her cow dung water in an attempt to induce vomiting.
She was initially taken to a nearby health centre. However, considering the seriousness of her condition, doctors referred her to the district hospital for further treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Manglo Bai died while undergoing treatment on Sunday.

Well, Bai.......................
Sounds like Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary.
Omg, I almost choked! Lololol.
I am not sure what surprises me more, that the husband had cow dung water on hand, or that he had a legitimate use for it.
, a Korba-based psychiatrist said excessive dependence on mobile phones may affect a person’s ability to handle frustration and anger.
Doc, you are on to something there.

Sounds more like someone didn’t like his arranged marriage and ended it.
Sacred cow = holy dung water? 💩
There was a Japanese movie from the 50s or so whose title for the life of me I cannot remember. It ended with the family having settled all its drama, and granny cooking dinner for them, except she mistakenly uses rat poison while making it. The family is sitting around the table, happy and laughing when all of a sudden each one of them konks over and dies. Maybe one of the other FReeper Nihonophiles will know to which movie I am referring.
My goodness, I have become frustrated with my internet connection too, but suicide is not something I considered.
Anybody who drinks random poisonous liquids hoping it will kill them and not knowing how bad it can turn out, hasn’t been horribly sick for a long time, they have forgotten horrible, lingering agony.
Don’t kill yourself, but if you do, give some thought to how rough the finish will be, and what will be left of you if it fails, for example, drinking acid.
If I were going to kill myself, I would do it as painless as possible.
Odd Obsession (1959) directed by Kon Ichikawa (English title sometimes given as The Key).
Hopefully Bai’s influence was limited to only one or two people. What a crazy person whom I would guess is only slightly missed. Not a sympathetic case.
The story left out the part where she had been talking to a local tech support call center.
The movie was even weirder than I remembered; let's just say it's not the kind of film for Studio Ghibli types.
Well, Bai...
ROFLMAO!
🤪........
Yeah. I don’t get out much, LOL!
