A wealthy Washington, D.C., suburb's public school district is advising teachers not to link 9/11 with radical Islam and to be sure to create "safe spaces" for Muslim students as the nation somberly marks the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.
The guardrails in a six-page instructional guide, "25th Anniversary and Commemoration of 9/11" and distributed to teachers, has prompted critics to accuse Fairfax County (Virginia) Public School's liberal leaders of coddling post-9/11 sensitivities rather than teaching history.
"It's sort of a vanilla way to do things," retired Navy Vice Admiral Lou Crenshaw, who was stationed inside the Pentagon when al Qaeda terrorists crashed a hijacked passenger jet into the building. "Everybody can go through the deal and feel good about it. And at the end of the day, nobody complains.
"To me, that's not exactly what we need to do. We need to make sure that the kids have learned a lesson here. And that's not going to happen if we try to shave the facts to the point where it's hard to figure out what we're talking about."
A digital content analysis reveals that about half of the 1,740-word document is devoted to tips for creating "safe spaces for Muslim and Middle Eastern students," about 15% spells out specific 9/11 instruction and the rest of the document tip-toes around managing "emotional responses" to the lesson.

Back in 1941, Pearl Harbor was bombed — I’m not going to say by who. Anyway, we got into WWII to fight those other guys. Then we also ended up in Europe, fighting somebody else — never mind who — and in the end we won. That’s pretty much all you need to know about WWII.

These are the same hateful commie ‘educators’ who applauded Charlie Kirk’s murder, hate MAGA, and suffer from TDS. Their much vaunted ‘inclusion’ only includes themselves...NEVER people who think differently than they do.
They’re also the people who teach ‘tolerance’ for those who sexually mutilate children, for ‘men’ who pretend they’re women, for sexual kink exhibitionists parades and for criminals over victims. Again, their ‘tolerance’ only extends to members of their own groups.
That said, Osama was a uniquely evil person and does not represent all Muslims. But Osama did find Islam an easy religion to twist for evil - and THAT should be taught. Islam has serious flaws.
I place primary blame on 911 on IRAN.
The revolution there contaminated the middle east with Wahhabism ‘jihadist’ thoughts. Iran backed Al Queda, and supported Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia. Iran gave support directly to Bin Laden.
There was no world wide terrorist problems prior to Iran 1978. There was repeated attacks on the US from Bin Laden, who we now know was supported by Tehran.
After 47 years of Tehran and it’s attacks, I just request that Trump finishes the job.
