Blinken says Haaretz report on Oct. 7 hostage offer 'complete fiction'.

Former secretary of state Antony Blinken denied a report from Haaretz on Wednesday that he had refused an offer to secure the immediate release of Israeli hostages taken by Hamas on Oct. 7. The Israeli outlet claimed in an article published on Tuesday that Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani had told Blinken just hours after the attack began that Hamas was willing to release all of the "civilian" hostages immediately and that Blinken rebuffed the offer, preferring to wait until he could travel to Israel days later. "For the record, this is false," Blinken wrote in response to a social media post about the article. "Complete fiction." It's not clear whether Blinken was saying that the story was false in whole or in part. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote separately on Wednesday that Likud would demand a criminal investigation of the article's authors for "suspicion of attempting to disrupt the elections with foreign entities" and called the article "fake."

As a clear conservative and NOT a Blinken fan, on this he is right. Liberal Haaretz has been inventing fiction for years. No wonder the organized wikpedian promote it.

Haaretz and Blinken are both hard-leftist liars with zero credibility, so impossible to know who to believe ...

Yeah I find this story very odd..so what are they saying, that Hamas wanted to release the civilian hostages but Blinken said no..what does Blinken have a say in what Hamas does..hamas took the hostages in order to get their prisoners back, that is one of the main reasons why they took them in the first place
