The US Central Command shared a video in which Admiral Brad Cooper, the combatant command's Commander, shared recent " milestones" the US military has reached during its war on Iran.
Among these, he mentioned extensively the US military operations which cleared sea mines from shipping lanes and more broadly spoke of the claimed effectiveness of the naval blockade the US re-imposed in mid-July on Iran.

Good Information Operations build trust, i.e. are factually accurate because you have the realization that people are critical / skeptical of what is said.
They will make sure that they have their facts 100% accurate and can deliver.
That said, that's pretty incredible (high standard / bar set) given that ease by which Iran can strike using missiles, drones, mines, fast remote controlled boats... and knowing Iran will throw EVERYTHING they have at trying to hit a ship.
Iran looks impotent and if Hormuz is open their greatest leverage is lost. So what do you think they will try to do?
Basically, Admiral Cooper gave a really nice speech, very professionally sounding, which goes something like this, "We just cut the Iranians balls off, my sailors just handed them to me in a pickle jar as a souvenir."
Let us know when Iran can no longer project power outside its own borders, and when we have possession of their U-235.
Anything less is failure.
Why do you think the author wanted the title “Boasting”? I watched it and he was just stating FACTS. Can the Media not report facts instead of their own editorial bullsh*t?
I do not agree with you. They have decimated Iran’s ability to project power to the point where we are likely to see a total collapse soon. I am sorry if they cannot totally destroy everything and kill everyone, which seems to be your definition of victory. I do agree with you, however, that it is still a work in progress and the job is not finished. However, total destruction never works.
Why? Because the people who write this stuff are so used to the hyperbolic BS they put out themselves…they assume everyone else does as well.
Is the Admiral’s speech “propaganda?” Sure…all sides do that in a war. Is it factual? Probably.
Centcom puts stuff out “for clicks” as much as anyone else on social media. But it’s how a lot of people get their information these days. Discerning pure BS from just partly BS is a dying art.
Headline writers are just tedious. They always have been.
Other pukefest headline words include “decimated” and “annihilated” and “game-changer.”
I love it when they’re used: I skip these articles and probably add years to my lifespan.
The only “milestone” that would matter, would be the real destruction and replacement of the mullah regime. Sorry but the real opportunity to accomplish that transformation occurred about two weeks after the bombing started, but was allowed to pass. If the mullah regime merely survives, they win. Foolish and harmful to the American people for political leaders and the military to delude themselves.
Please distinguish the unique attributes supporting that conclusion.

It stinks. But I think you’re right. At this point, the odds are high that the mullahs will remain in power. AND they will keep their uranium.
Among other things, this will be a propaganda victory for Islam.
A dozen different theories could be advanced as to what could have been differently. I’ll leave that for another thread.
If we really do have control over the Straight of Hormuz, that is a big deal. To me that looks a bit like checkmate, maybe not immediately, but perhaps in the not too distant future, especially if Trump can survive the midterms. It means we’ve got the IRGC in an economic stranglehold. It also clearly shows to the world and more importantly to the Iranian people that the IRGC is not in control of circumstances. And yes of course the IRGC won’t just throw in the towel but instead will let the Iranian people suffer, but that can’t go on forever.
Searching for truth is never a wasted effort. Accepting the mass lies of the Media, especially by our Government and the Deep State is folly. It does require a lot of work but is easier just to disregard everything that is written. It is like finding the one cherry tomato in a large salad. Hard to find and doesn’t last long.
Of course, we might surprise Iran by having the government in MAGA hands. Or we could bury the 12th imam under a pile of bombed rock.
Ok. During the first two weeks the bombing targeted the leaders of the regime and especially the IRGC. They were reeling, terrified and hiding in mosques and schools. Israel’s irreplacable Mossad network within Iran was providing critical intelligence. At that time the Iranian Kurds of Western Iran were willing to lead an armed rebellion against the mullah and it was likely they would have been joined by the aggrieved urban Iranian protesters who had seen their friends and families murdered by the regime. However the Turks violently protested to Trump fearing a “Kurdistan” forming in Western Iran which they have always viewed as a threat to Turkey. The result was that the Kurds were restrained and a meaningful internal rebellion never occured. Good chance it would have been successful. Not only was the opportunity lost but IMHO that remarkable Mossad unit took inordinate chances to provide intelligence and suspect many agents if not most of the unit was exposed and rolled up by the Iranians. May explain why the Iranians have been able to import, store and fire drones without detection.
Anything less is failure.

The Trump team is following a very smart policy with an eye towards reshaping a post war Iran
Doing unnecessary damage to Iran is not wise or desirable.
The last thing we want to see is scenario where a weak Iran gets invaded by a neighboring country like we saw with the disaster of Turkey taking over Syria using ISIS proxies under Joe Biden
The Navy does not ‘boast’.
Last week when this was reported, the Navy and CENTCOM had made it clear to tr president that the mines were gone.
Simple statement of fact. A fact that anyone wanting the US to not win this 47 year old war would sound like boasting.
The reason this journalist chose to say the Navy boasted is left for the reader to guess
