Ariana Grande has warned US president Donald Trump not to use her music on TikTok.
The world leader — who keeps getting called out for using songs by artists who do not want to be associated with his politics — posted a viral We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love) clip highlighting the lyric: "Me and my truth we sit in silence."
In the video, Trump is shown at a rally as the text "Men can't have babies and should never compete in women's sports" flashes across the screen.
The Team Trump TikTok account captioned the post: "This shouldn't be controversial! #trump #arianagrande #maga."
In a since‑deleted comment, Ariana replied: "Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false."
Trump is known for his anti‑trans views, and recently the US Supreme Court ruled that states can stop transgender women from competing in women's sports. In a 6-3 decision, the court said these laws do not violate Title IX or the Constitution's Equal Protection Clause.
The June ruling followed other moves from the Trump administration on transgender policy. Earlier in May, the court also allowed the administration to move ahead with its Prioritising Military Excellence and Readiness order, which will block transgender people from serving in the US military.
Ariana's warning comes shortly after Taylor Swift blocked Trump from using her music on TikTok. He had used several of her songs to soundtrack his social posts, including a clip of him and his wife Lady Melania Trump watching fireworks set to August.
The audio has since been removed and replaced with the message: "This sound isn't available."
Trump appeared to choose Taylor's song deliberately, writing: "I'm sure Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song!"
He also commented on the Team Trump clip: "Mood because it's August and Donald Trump is your president."
Other tracks removed from his TikTok posts include The Fate of Ophelia and Father Figure.
Trump famously declared "I hate Taylor Swift!" on his Truth Social account after the pop star announced she would be voting for Kamala Harris in the last presidential election.

She needs to start eating again ... she’s a freaking skeleton!!
Over Macho Grande?
Go eat a sandwich Ariana please
She can start with a Taco Bell Grande!
Child needs a few Big Macs...
Yes, a Cheeseburger Diet would do her good!
PDJT should ask Scott Bessent to come up with a response. Tell him “nothing is off limits.”
I’d recommend a hearty stew, but that’s just me.
How would we survive without these oh-so-important celebrities?
She’s down to what, 55 pounds? Cage match.
If the fees for use are paid, I don’t understand why recording artists in a fuss over it.
She is anorexic. Can you imagine if a doctor prescribed her diet pills because she thinks she’s fat? (Sorry for the segue into trans people’s mental illnesses.
Go pound sand you little spoiled tart!
I don’t think I’ll ever get over Macho Grande.
Exactly. Warns? Way too full of herself if the story is true.
Ted, When are you coming back?
It seems to be a ritual every election season. At least with Republican candidates.
I assume their campaigns pay the fees, get permission, sign the paperwork, and then the artists make a big show of demanding that they stop using their music at campaign stops. They get the money, and the virtue-signaling points too with their skulls-full-of-mush fan base.
LOL! Good one!
Bessent needs to study up on a different strategy for bonds after it brought Bessent to heel this week.
