Russia Entitled to View UK as Party to Ukrainian Conflict — Lavrov

The Russian foreign minister said he feels sorry for the UK if it stays with Ukraine until the very end

MOSCOW, August 18. /TASS/. Moscow is entitled to consider British missile forces' involvement in strikes on Russia as direct participation in the conflict in Ukraine, with all ensuing consequences, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

"You know, I feel sorry for the UK if it stays with Ukraine until the very end," Lavrov told Vesti journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"President [Vladimir Putin] warned of our right to act in any part of the world's oceans if anyone encroaches on our interests or property. We have precisely the same right to regard Britain's publicly declared direct involvement of its missile forces in strikes on Russia as participation in the war, with all ensuing consequences," Lavrov stressed.

Russia can’t even beat Ukraine...I don’t think the rest of the west is afraid of them. Sadly.

Lavrov says Russia and North Korea advocate for new multipolar world order

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow and Pyongyang are jointly advocating a new world order based on multipolarity, equality and consideration of national interests.

Lavrov made the remarks in a congratulatory telegram to North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Korea's Liberation Day.

“Today, Moscow and Pyongyang are acting as one front in advocating the creation of a new just world order based on the principles of multipolarity, genuine equality and consideration of national interests,” Lavrov said.

The Russian foreign minister also reaffirmed Moscow's intention to continue following the course set by President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to comprehensively deepen bilateral cooperation, saying it served the interests of both countries and contributed to regional and international security.

RAF Mildenhall is used for USAF combat operations against Iran. If that isn’t an “ally” nothing is.

President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to comprehensively deepen bilateral cooperation

Both driving down the Dead End road of international affairs since assuming power. Putin only held power this long because the Germans could not get off the natural gas tit of mother Urals.

“RAF Mildenhall is used for USAF combat operations against Iran. If that isn’t an ‘ally’ nothing is.“

It’s part of their pretense.

Giving us permission to land on their airfield is not an accurate test of friendship.

The accurate test was when they refused to help us from the beginning at the Strait of Hormuz.

Rooting for Russia here. The UK is MAGA’s ideological enemy, not Russia.

Russia and North Korea talk about how they are going to establish a just world order....

Couldn’t be any more chilling if the devil rose up out of hell and started reassuring everybody.

100% correct.

The UK is a belligerent in the Ukraine war.

The UK is a belligerent in the Ukraine war

Nope, that would only be true if their troops were involved in the fighting ... and they're not

See, the UK is merely selling weapons to Ukraine , just like the US

So if "selling weapons" counts as "being involved" to you and Lavrov, then you two also better accuse the US too! (lol)

The UK and the US are doing a lot more than selling weapons.

I am, and have been, very concerned about US involvement in this mess, as I have posted here many times.

The OP was about what Lavrov said about the UK, and I responded to that.

By that standard, Russia has a whole pack of belligerents lined up with it, too.

Lavrov’s just once again imbibed enough vodka and Captagon to put on his “brave”.

ure, start a fight with a founding member of NATO Can you say “Article 5”, doofus?

Article 5 does not oblige any member state to cooperate with another member state's acts of war against a third party.

With Russia, it’s always a one-way street.

In this case, they are very happy to have partners in the war against Ukraine, but Ukraine cannot have allies on its side.

In any case, NATO countries have been openly assisting Ukraine since the start, including the U.S, but not with troops on the ground. What is new to Russia is that they’ve discovered that they can’t win the war and want the UK and others to get out of the conflict, in order to give Russia a better chance at winning. The UK and NATO countries will not take the deal.
