Democratic members of a Senate Judiciary subcommittee announced Tuesday that they will refuse to participate in a hearing on Wednesday focused on Muslim Brotherhood networks within the United States.
The boycott targets a session organized by Federal Courts Subcommittee Chairman Ted Cruz (R-TX), titled “Hidden in Plain Sight: Confronting the Muslim Brotherhood Network in America.” The proceeding aligns with broader initiatives by national and state Republicans aimed at cracking down on the group, which includes proposals to classify its various branches as terrorist organizations.
In a joint statement, Democratic Senators Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), Alex Padilla (D-CA), and Peter Welch (D-VT) sharply criticized the panel’s focus, writing, “Scapegoating Muslims may be a Texas Republican strategist’s idea of ‘solid gold’ to whip up their voters, but Democrats have no intention of indulging this political creepshow, particularly after the recent violence targeting places of faith. Our focus is the costs families face thanks to rampant, non-stop Trump corruption.”
Responding to news of the planned walkout, a spokesman for Cruz dismissed the Democrats’ decision, indicating that the boycott was expected. The hearing’s scheduled witness list features several counterterrorism and legal policy experts, including former FBI Special Agent Lara Burns, who is currently with George Washington University’s Program on Extremism; Arielle Klepach, senior counsel at the National Jewish Advocacy Center; and Kyle Shideler, a homeland security analyst at the Center for Security Policy.
In January 2026, the Trump administration officially designated three Middle Eastern branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist entities: the Lebanese Muslim Brotherhood, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, and the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood.

Looks like the democrats support. The Muslim brotherhood.
Same democrats eagerly go after Christian citizens for just being Christians but protect terrorist orgs that have, in part, been responsible for the death of fellow citizens, disgusting traitors.
Is anybody truly surprised that Democrats do not want to stop any outfit wishing to destroy America and the Constitution?
It still blows my mind that damn near every stance the democrats take is bad for America. Almost everything they believe in is bad for the United States. How do people continue to support this party?
My parents are old, and they re hard core democrats. They love Gavin Newsom and supported Kamala. They will not answer me when i tell them what the democrats stand for and i ask them why they would continue voting for this party. Do they not care about the world they are going to leave their grandkids? They have no answer for me. It’s incredibly disappointing seeing your parents supporting democratic policies.
Dems are hoping and counting the muslims will help the dem vote. Dems brought muslims into the USA just for their vote since they provide nothing to the American dream. Dems are counting on the Latino vote also. 25million illegals and the muslims may have an impact remains to be seen. Klaine and the rest of Bidens staff plus the autopen are hoping for the dems to introduce socialism and islam for control of our gov’t. Trump needs to deport the illegals as fast a possible.

The Muslim Brotherhood is to 2026 America what the COMINTERN was to 1950 America.
It’s a foreign, collectivist, violent ideological assault on our Constitution, Christianity and American freedom. It needs to be rooted out.
Don’t chicken out this time.
The DemonRATS have become a testicle of the American Muzzie Terrorist groups who are still celebrating bringing down the World Trade Center and now have the Socialist DemonRATS celebrating the destruction of 9/11 with them.
IMO, THEY ALWAYS HAVE
THEY REFUSE TO SEE THE DANGERS
"If you value your family, you will not attend this meeting"
Are the Dems planning a counter-probe into the threat posed by “white Christian nationalism”?
I think they really do care, but genuinely feel the Dems are the only hope. Most likely because they believe, rightly or wrongly, that it was FDR and the Dems that got them and their parents out of the painful depression and WWII.*
*There are solid grounds to argue that WWII got us out of the depression - that FDR knew WWII was over his head, and he listened to and acted on the advice of the capable military leaders produced by some of the best schools in his nation.
With the clarity of hindsight, it appears FDR, while not perfect was indeed the best man for the 30's and 40's.
The Muzzie Terrorists testicle of the Socialist Democrats didn’t attend the hearing because their Muzzie Terrorist massahs had their camel races at that time.
When you bring Jihadis into your big tent you can’t then offend them in the halls of the senate or congress. I hope I’m around to see many of those traitorous dims get their comeuppance from their jihadi friends.

This is the present state of the world - nearly everywhere, one if not all of the leading parties are pushing politics that is either overtly against their own people or which a simple look could show is against their own people.
In most places any person or group wanting to do something to make the actual citizens better is called every name, deplatformed, kicked off ballots if not killed outright. Are we up to 5 or 6 against President Trump in the last 24 months?
We (and definitely prior generations) were educated about how things were supposed to work. Parties are different opinions between people who both want good things for America. Bills get introduced and there’s separation of powers, and all that nice stuff.
To admit what’s happening in politics is like the false-reality distopias which is why people use ‘red pill’ metaphors. In part the challenge is because of our resilience - you can see the news say about an illegal killing a family because he shouldn’t be here much less driving a semi truck — and outside your window it’s nice out, you can still fire up the grill, the phones work and the grandkids regale you with stories about the latest funny cat videos. The horrors don’t seem real unless they happened right to you.
That’s IMO why bluehair lefties vote for their own destruction, and traditional dems still pull the lever reflexively. As long as the latte is there and their world is intact it’s painless to suppose that the bad things they hear about — IF they hear about them from the sources they use — are small, maybe fictional, and besides Orange Man Bad.
Scapegoating Muslims: Better than goatraping muslims. They don’t belong in our country.
They’ll eventually knuckle under. They only care about power, whereas the DSA don’t just want power, they want destruction of our Republic.
Someone may want to tell Trump that the Turkish Dictator is
Muslim Brotherhood since Truimp wanted to give our
most powerful Fighter Jets to him so he in turn could give them to his pals China and Russia and use them on attacks on
Greece, Israel, and Egypt.
We are lucky that the pentagon quietly killed that brilliant idea. We dodged a huge mess.
