I was on a jury a couple of months ago where the defendant was tracked with these Flock cameras. He was a drug mule. Got pulled over for no seat belt. We convicted him in about an hour. He had 2 prior felonies. The judge gave him 10 years. He was 67.
Even though it caught this guy, I hate the damn cameras with a passion. Major invasion of privacy and you can bet they are being used for nefarious activities.
I’ve used to deflock website to route a path to work where I am not on camera. It’s just creepy.

No, got nothing to hide...its just not their damn business...
There isn’t a power or right that cannot be abused.
The solution is for states to pass laws that punish improper use.

I welcome the Flock camera at the entrance to my subdivision. Nothing to hide - nothing to fear. Evil doers will be caught. It’s like having a cop permanently on watch.
Plate covers of any sort are illegal in many states.

How do they mix with airports and police helicopters and drone no-fly zones?
They also track your model of car and bumper stickers and damage on the car.
Your best bet is a white Ford or Chevy work style pickup with zero markings.
No front plate, preferably from a state that permits this (eg NM).
Get a back bumper that has the plate very inset. This prevents viewing at most angles except directly behind.
A low contrast plate (between the numbers and background) is helpful. The yellow NM plate is best.
While technically illegal, but it can’t be seen, sand the plate gently. Then spray on two cans worth of flat, clear, paint.
Then mask off randomly like a WWI battleship and spray high gloss clear.
The above helps with cameras that rely on flash or reflective light.
Many cameras rely on IR lighting; the same frequencies used by back up cameras.
Install a back up camera frame such that the lights are always on. This blinds IR cameras at most angles. Assuming you are running a deep inset plate, this helps a fair amount.
Plate covers (all they are are polarized plastic like a privacy screen for a laptop) do work as well. They are also technically illegal in most states. They don’t work directly behind you, so they are generally not visible. But you might get pulled over for that.
Other things that help in different cars: big spare tire over the plate or things mounted to either side (Jerry cans, etc). I see jeeps all day long that effectively block their plate by doing this.
Temporary ideas: spray mud all over your car and plate. Stick a leaf on it, etc. all that might get you pulled over, but probably not.
But should a authoritarian (such as the Marxist DSA) seize power, we will not be able to organize any kind of resistance because all of their information on us will be right there.
But we will be protected...

Hate them or not, there’s no right to privacy for a car in public.
Interesting. Seven in my area. Six watch only parking lots. One extends out of the parking lot onto a main intersection. Not as bad as I thought yet.
It’s good to see someone on this thread who isn’t paranoid. The cameras are not an invasion of privacy. They are either in public places or voluntarily installed in private places if requested (and paid for) by the owner. And I think it is ludicrous to say their main purpose will be to monitor exes and spouses of cops.
The thing to keep in mind is this company (Flock, and those like them) are being used by the federal government and by local law-enforcement to bypass restrictions on surveillance.
They can simply pay the money from tax coffers to Flock and get the surveillance data they desire without a warrant.
If I recall correctly, the Biden administration was hugely into this concept, probably with the open support of RINOs in the Republican Party.
