Debt-ridden Democrats tap a surprising asset as collateral for $15M loan. The committee holds $18.5M in debt against $16.3M cash on hand while the RNC sits on $128.5M with no debt.

As the Democratic National Committee (DNC) shouldered significant debt and fell behind its GOP equivalent, Democratic leadership decided to use its physical headquarters as collateral for a $15 million loan, according to public records.

The loan, first reported by NOTUS news outlet, was taken out in 2025 as the DNC struggled to keep pace with the Republican National Committee’s fundraising efforts ahead of the midterm elections.

While taking out loans ahead of high-stakes races is common, and using property as collateral to do so is not unheard of, the line of credit secured by the DNC was the largest ever taken out by the committee for an off-year election, according to NOTUS. The terms of the loan allow the DNC to withdraw an additional $5 million beyond the $15 million it already has taken, public records show.

"This is not new," a DNC official told Fox News Digital Monday of the loan. "The loan documents were publicly released in November, and the DNC’s building was also used as collateral in our prior lines of credit in 2019, 2018, 2014 and many other years."

The responsible, ascendant RNC has $128.5M with no debt while the worthless, decadent, corrupt, party of hate and evil sinks deeper and deeper into debt..

The Ellisons, Miriam Adelson and others put their money where there mouths are and the GOP is benefitting right now.

But money does not equal votes unless they impose censorship of all media including the internet.

That seems to be going on these days when I post news summaries from my blog...

JAMES CARVILLE IS SUGGESTING DAVID HOGG BE PUT AT THE HEAD OF THE DNC.

HOGG IS THE GUY WHO CLAIMED HE WAS ON THE CAMPUS OF THE SHOOTING OF MARJORIE STONEMAN SCHOOL.

This is great and is a testament to how well Trump has positioned the GOP for this midterm cycle. He is being aggressive about wanting to win the midterms and not just accept that the party in power loses. He put the right people in place and they are managing things effectively. Its surprising that the Dems are having all this trouble. Usually they have capable administrators at the DNC even if their politicians are lunatics. And they should be cleaning up as the party out of power. But in a truly remarkable feat, they are screwing all that up. So its nice to see but let’s not fool ourselves. The war and being the party in power are huge negatives to the GOP. That’s just reality. And a couple rich Dems could come in and wipe this debt out in a second.

I choose to believe that Doge and the other fraud stopping mechanisms completely cut off all the Democrat party cash streams. The DNC existed on stolen taxpayer funds.

The taxpayer money is noe torally cut off. They have no money

The almost complete capture of the Dems by radical leftists and commies is drying up contributions. It finally has scared major donors. The lack of pushback by old-school, once-mainline Dem pols has freaked out donors.

Why is Talcero outspending Paxton 10-1?
Why was the Nazi Tattoo guy and now the new guy outspending Susan Collins 10-1?
Why is every Democrat, everywhere outspending their Republican opponent by similar margins?

The only time I see Republicans spending money is to save RINOs and oust non-AIPAC Republicans in primaries.

So I don’t buy this the Democrats have no Money BS

You are completely correct. Republicans bragged that they had millions in their accounts while Democrats were in debt, though Democrats had just won a string of special elections.

The RNC through Va under the bus 20 years ago and responsible for it’s blue status. They stopped spending on a “lost cause”.

You are absolutely correct. Democrat candidates have all the money they can use, and much more. They are not broke, they are not even underfunded compared to their opponents.

These stories, which are all just re-hashes of the same irrelevant thing, are popping up almost daily now. Whatever the DNC does or does not have, is making no difference in campaign spending. Especially advertising, with which Democrats are absolutely saturating the airwaves — and internet — in every single important Senate and House race.

Whatever the RNC claims to have is making no difference in campaign spending. Especially advertising, where Republicans are being outpaced in practically every single important Senate and House race.

There is no such thing as any critical Senate or House race where the Republican is vastly ahead of the Democrat in $$$$.

The narrow focus of stories like this one is misleading at best and totally irrelevant at worst.

This just may reveal exactly how much of our taxpayer dollars were funneled through usaid and the other government ‘departments’ to the demo-commies every year. Moat of those spigots have been turned off - and surprise, surprise, the DNC is broke.

Watch the dims try and push/sneak a bill similar to a Robin Hood where they must level the playing field so R’s can’t have that much more funds (only to be ignored if tables turn). Women and children are suffering...

I don't know how freepers here feel about the YouTube influencer's "The Young Turks" but what I've seen is very critical of the dem party lately. Anyway...here's a recent video of those two characters going off on the DNC about this very topic:

This is a week old and we’ve seen other threads on this already, right? I don’t think this source was posted before - but it’s pretty old news.

Sometimes old news is good news!

Good. But the person spending the most on a campaign doesn’t always win. Spend the money wisely, GOP.
