WASHINGTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is not planning an aggressive campaign at voting sites during the upcoming midterm elections, the Department of Homeland Security said Thursday in response to a States Newsroom inquiry about a letter from U.S. Senate Democrats voicing concerns about armed federal agents at polling places.
ICE, an agency within DHS that has sustained intense criticism since the start of the second Trump administration for its aggressive and sometimes deadly tactics, has no plans to target polling sites in November, a DHS official told States Newsroom in an email.
The official left open the possibility, though, that the agency’s plans could change based on available intelligence.
“ICE is not planning operations targeting polling locations,” the DHS official said. “ICE conducts intelligence-driven targeted enforcement, and if an active public safety threat endangered a polling location, they may be arrested as a result of that targeted enforcement action.”
The email came from a general DHS media account and did not name the official. The statement did not specify anything about DHS agencies other than ICE.

Democrats use their harvested ballots, why would they bother having them go to the polls?
Didn’t mean to paste that first sentence.
Reporter asks should “undocumented citizens” who vote should be concerned? Obama says “When you vote you are a citizen”

Really only need them in a select few locations

Just think if we had a unit like this in front of every big polling station, different outcome in elections no doubt. Might scare off a few scumbag politicians too.
Wimps.
I have some suspicion that this may not be an official policy pronouncement, but a nameless, faceless deep-state bureaucrat who is pre-emptively setting the agenda by focusing media attention.
In Wisconsin, a few years back, there was the story of a critical memorandum found in response to an open records request (Wisconsin's FOIA) filed by the Madison newspaper. The memo attacked the Walker Administration's policy on a particular matter and had no author. Whoever constructed the document not only forgot to take authorship credit, but also carefully scrubbed the metadata from the PDF before saving it on a state computer, ensuring that no one would know its provenance. Then, after retiring from civil service, that person anonymously notified the newspaper of the particular search terms that would dredge the critical memo; the newspaper complied, and viola, a headline suggesting "Review Memo Criticizes Walker Admin on [x]" where x was anything Walker's opponents wanted to attack [Act 10 might be a good guess].
Methinks this email may fit in the same general category.
The polling places are already protected by the New Black Panthers. White racist MAGA types can just scram.

I know which one I would choose.
Damn!
Here, in MD, I foolishly imagined that we could vote without hours-long lines while the foreign scum were getting help from the translators in 12 different languages...
😡😡😡
I wish he was what the left thinks he is.
Two uniformed agents and two relief agents per polling place should be sufficient. Jut their being visible will keep the illegals at bay.
ICE agents at polling places are unnecessary although a few folks walking around with ICE cap on might be entertaining.
I say unnecessary because the number of illegals who vote pales when compared to the number of mail-in ballots harvested, curated, or otherwise faked by the communists each election is huge. Think 2020 when Cho BiDung ‘won’ by over 9mm votes. That works out to nearly 200,000 fake ballots per state.
Stopping the illegals from voting is a good thing but limiting mail-in balloting should be the real target.
Agreed.
Same here. I’d choose the later.
We all do.
fog of war in this situation
I think they should park an empty van with “ICE” written on the side near polling places.
Don’t even need any agents, just leave the van there, that should scare them off.
