President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu estimated the intense part of the U.S.-Israeli war in Iran would last four to six weeks. It is now entering the sixth month without a decisive military victory or a diplomatic breakthrough.

Now, as Mr. Trump weighs his next steps and the future of roughly 50,000 U.S. troops across the Middle East, two of Washington's closest regional partners are pressing the president with sharply different visions for how the conflict should proceed.

The president received input Wednesday from his partner in this war, Netanyahu, as well as from Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman.

During his Tuesday Oval Office meeting with Netanyahu, Israeli officials were struck by Mr. Trump's serious and "very clinical" approach to the Iran war. A senior Israeli official shared with CBS News that Netanyahu counseled the president on three options for the war...

Any conflict which lasts six months should have Congressional support. This doesn’t, and it will be a political problem in November if it continues. People didn’t vote for a war with Iran.

It hasn’t been 6 months of continuous conflict. There have been pauses and ceasefires.

I think the Deep State tries even harder.

No one would have said boo about the length of time or money or blood spent in Ukraine. Congress would have cheered.

FR used to call them the Uniparty.

“It hasn’t been 6 months of continuous conflict. There have been pauses and ceasefires.”

You are technically correct—but the midterm damage is not going to be saved by pauses and ceasefires.

Real, fundamental Islam will kill this planet if it is not stopped. Iran is the first stop.

If you think otherwise, you haven't been paying attention.

And if you think this isn't America's duty, you don't understand the reality we live in.

You are obviously a Jew-hater. </sarcasm>

So no one is offering Trump a regime change strategy, though it says Israel still believes regime change is necessary and is laying the groundwork for it.

Meanwhile Iran remains a dangerous enemy.

This is a mess. You need to threaten that regime or else they will just continue to do what they do.

There is also a political reality. Of course the United States could and probably should defeat Iran.
That would involve a massive invasion and Trump ain’t doing it.

Apparently the administration does not agree with your take—since many of our closest allies in the Middle East are fundamentalist Islam nations.

No matter what your view on this topic of Islam is—our foreign policy is a hot mess.

How do you know this? Do you have an inside track and a security clearance to sources that tell you this?

And what is your opinion of fundamental Islam's encroachment into US politics (like the Mayor of NYC)?

Are they just a bunch of "nice" guys.

Eff off.

You are a dullard.

Our foreign policy is a mess.

That is a fact.

An insane mayor of NYC will not change that reality.

Everyone's foreign policy is a mess. That's human nature.

What is your point?

Are you suggesting that, because US foreign policy is a mess, we should ignore Islam's encroachment into the US political machine.

Perhaps you should wear a kaffiyeh and bow to Allah.

Study Islam a bit. It's goal is global domination.

Ever since President Trump turned 80, he has been vibe coding Joe Biden. "They are begging for a deal".

There will be no deals. Never. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Never. Progress can only be made when President Trump puts down the hopium pipe.

Foreign policy does not have to be a mess—regardless of who is the mayor of NYC.

You get what you accept.
