Families of 9/11 victims want to ban Mamdani from sacred 25th anniversary ceremony at Ground Zero: ‘unwelcome guest’

Families of 9/11 victims are demanding NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani be banned from the 25th anniversary of the attacks at Ground Zero, branding him an apologist for Islamic terror whose presence would be an insult to the memories of nearly 3,000 people murdered.

“Our objection is based on his public record — his failure to meaningfully acknowledge the horror of that day, and his employment of, support for, or association with individuals who have minimized 9/11, defended terrorists, or even suggested America ‘deserved’ the attacks,” said Giovanni Galante – whose 29-year-old wife Grace Catherine Galante was among 2,977 innocents killed by al-Qaeda terrorists.

Galante and other petition organizers hope to gather enough signatures to convince local lawmakers and the ceremony’s organizers, the nonprofit 9/11 Memorial & Museum, to keep Mamdani away from the silver-anniversary ceremony planned for the former Twin Towers site in Lower Manhattan.

Organizer Cheri Sparacio, whose 35-year-old husband Thomas was killed on 9/11, quipped there are “so many other examples” why it would be “disrespectful” for Mamdani to attend the ceremony that “we couldn’t fit them on the list.”

They include Mamdani’s longtime association with vile left-wing influencer Hasan Piker, who once said “America deserved” the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, and Mamdani’s outlandish claim that he and other fellow Muslims were also victims of 9/11 because it supposedly triggered a horrible wave of “Islamophobia,” added Sparacio, of Staten Island.

Monica Iken-Murphy, whose 37-year-old husband Michael Iken was killed on 9/11 and was a leading advocate in the creation of 9/11 Memorial & Museum, signed the petition but insisted it’s not about Mamdani’s politics.

“I don’t want families to feel uncomfortable,” said Iken-Murphy, also a founding trustee on the 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s board. “Others can come a different day, but let the families have their time.”

Mamdani may have to save his touchdown celebration dance for another day.

Should Mandami be prevented from a victory celebration and the practice of his religion?

Commies usually don’t back down. And neither do Muslims. Mamdani is of course both.

So he’ll try something to disrupt the proceedings.

And after he yells that, they’ll say he had nothing to do with the attack and not all muslims are terrorist...YET, they will hold all white people accountable for slavery.

He’ll probably schedule a flyover of 747s at the end of the muzzie call to prayer.

You just might be right. Mamdani might try to turn the ceremony into an “interfaith” event. To promote “healing”, dontcha know?

The mainstream media would of course clap like trained seals.

And the families would become sick to their stomachs. But nobody in the media really cares about them.

Mamdani will go with a huge presence all about himself and how wonderful Islam is to bringing healing and transformation through the teachings of Mohamed and Allah after some people did some stuff all those years ago. He can’t help himself. “Look how great this is that on these holy grounds the teachings of the most holy Allah and his profit (sic) (pbuh), has brought a diverse mix of New Yorkers to bring peace to this great city of immigrants, inshallah.

I am not sure what he is first though. A Marxist or a Muslim. He is using one for the other but I haven’t gathered which one. Both are equally vicious and murderous dogmas demanding absolute obedience and the murder of the enemies. He seems too egotistical to be a Muslim. As a marxist revolutionary HE will be worshipped and not Allah. Like Obama.

Ya. Good luck with that
He’s the emir

The seminary in slip is getting taken over to become a mosque. They’ll pretend that’s temporary. 5 times per day throughout the miles radius. For the next 700 years.

More to come

The people who voted for Mamdani didn't even live in NYC on 9/11, if they were even born yet.

Hell, they didn't live in NYC even five years ago.

And a not insignificant number of these people thought 9/11 was actually pretty cool.

Someone like Mamdani has no scruples.

He’ll be there, with his signature smile: https://www.washingtonjewishweek.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/photo-for-Editorial-C-Zohran_Mamdani_05.25.25_3x4_cropped.jpg

Except when he needs to look stern and serious: https://static.jns.org/dims4/default/bcf4df2/2147483647/strip/true/crop/5734x3228+0+218/resize/1000x563!/format/webp/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fstatic.jns.org%2F8a%2F2e%2Fad91271a4ba68754a7ed0f6557f8%2Fgettyimages-2283872977.jpg

Or sad: https://static01.nyt.com/images/2025/10/16/multimedia/16met-mamdani-attacks-01-wflt/16met-mamdani-attacks-01-wflt-superJumbo.jpg?quality=75&auto=webp

Hopefully for NY, making faces and socialist ideas like rent control, will fix the cities budget and housing crisis. LOL
