Sen. Darline Graham (R-S.C.). — who was appointed to fill the remaining few months of her brother’s term — announced Monday that she intends to throw her hat in the ring, as the one-week filing period for the Aug. 11 special primary election is set to begin today at noon.
“I’m in,” Darline Graham told Sean Hannity yesterday, in a preview of an interview that aired in full on Fox News’s “Hannity” later that night.

Appointed Senator that you can’t remove once they’re in. She also just happens to be related to the Senator she’s replacing, similar to Frank Murkowski.
Other appointed Republican Senators that we can’t get rid of (unless they retire or die, since the GOP will get behind the originally appointed incumbent):
Roger Wicker (MS) - terrible voting record
John Barrasso (WY) - always at McConnell & Thune’s side
Cindy Hyde Smith (MS) - terrible voting record
Pete Ricketts (NE) - McConnell made sure that the conservative lost the governor’s primary so Ben Sasse could retire and appoint Ricketts
Tim Scott (SC) - dutifully endorsed Lisa Murkowski
And let’s not forget Luther Strange, Kelly Loeffler and Martha McSally.
The Establishment prefers APPOINTED Senators. I prefer ELECTED senators.

is made out of ignorance. Unless the comment made is an aspirational goal (”let’s make sure we don’t get another Lisa Murkowski”).
She has been awarded a huge advantage. We should have seen who she is before being awarded a position such as that.
Being Linda’s sister is not a good thing. Because he wasn’t.
