President Trump long railed against forever wars.
For years, whether as president or candidate, he flayed electoral opponents and previous presidents with his signature barbs, calling their entanglements a "complete waste of time" (Afghanistan), "the worst single mistake ever made in the history of our country" (Iraq) and "stupid" (Ukraine).
Yet he now appears to be stumbling into a forever war of his own.

Yeah let’s have Iran control the world and have them have a nuke which means adios Israel. This war was a long time coming, in fact if Trump had not gotten bad advice this would have been over with in JUNE with no need to continue. If Trump had not gotten bad advice and told Israel to not kill some regime members, they all would have been dead and we would be in a different situation right now. The big mistake was stopping when he was at the 30 yard line back in April
The economy is pretty bad and gas going back up plus endless wars spinning up... and Trump looks confused.
Iran has been at war with the U.S. since 1979. And Iran has been at war with Israel since Israel was founded.
Muslims have been at war with non-Muslim countries since Mohammad founded the religion.
Forever wars will be with us as long as the Muslim religion sticks around.
Journalists and politicians need to try to understand the world better.
When does a war become a “forever” war?
