A federal appeals court on Thursday upheld an Illinois ban on semiautomatic weapons, keeping in place a law passed largely in response to a deadly Independence Day parade shooting.
The ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit overturns a lower court decision that found the ban unconstitutional. The 2-1 appellate decision found that the Illinois law does not violate the Second Amendment, and its restrictions are "consistent with the principles that underpin our Nation's tradition of firearm regulation."
"Whether to adopt them is thus a decision reposed in our elected representatives, and we reverse," the appeals court said.
The majority opinion also pushes back on claims made by the plaintiffs that semiautomatic weapons are not at fault for mass shootings.

The Left won’t be happy until the courts rule that the 2A applies only to single shot rifles. You know, just like muskets from Revolutionary times.
And that’s not so far-fetched. Today’s Democrats will pack the Supreme Court the first chance they get.

All double-action revolvers which have been around since the mid-19th Century are effectively “semi-automatic.”
The stupidity of the Courts continues to astonish.
Leftists want us to own only muzzle-loaded, single-shot guns. Ask one, he’ll tell you.

Up until the Sullivan Act of 1911, bout the only regulation of guns was Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson confiscating cowboys guns as they came into Dodge City.
Someone is eventually going to express themselves over these infringements.

How an appeals court can ignore SCOTUS rulings is representative of judicial incompetence.
I heard on FN a little bit ago of the plans the Democratic Socialist have for remaking America:
Abolish the Senate
Abolish the Presidency, instead have a US manager elected by the house
Have the courts appointed by the house for limited terms, and they must use guidance from the house.
etc....
They must believe they can Jerry-rig all the house districts, thereby controlling the house?

Abolish the Senate
So the Democratic Socialists are calling for a new constitution. Any elected to office have to declare their allegiance to the Constitution. Will their fingers be crossed when they take their oath of office.
That’s one good way of putting it.
